He looked up at her during dinner. She met his eyes for a second before quickly looking away. "So Andrew. What college are you planning on attending?" "None at the moment, father," he said. He looked towards the burly man who was his father and smiled weakly. "I'm sure I'll think of one soon. But for the moment, there are none... Just at the moment," he said, his eyes turning back towards the girl. Veronica merely ignored him and placed some more vegetables on her plate. She didn't want to think of him leaving... Not right now, at least. "Excuse me," said Andrew as he stood up. He cleared his plate and headed up to his room. She watched him leave but remained seated. "You'll be going into high school next year, Ronnie! What are you interested in?" asked her mother. "I like... What Andrew is interested in," she whispered. "Law?" asked her father. He raised an eyebrow. "You can't be serious." "I am. I like law. I want to study it," she said and she pushed her plate away from her. "I'm interested. I can see that Andrew is interested... He's very passionate. If I don't like it, I'll do something else, father," she said quickly. "Your brother is very passionate about everything," he said and he sipped the water from his glass. Brother...? Why dd that word irritate her so much? "I'm finished. Please excuse me," she said and she too stood up and cleared her plate. She went outside and made her way to the swing attached to the large tree at the back of their house. He watched her from his bedroom window as she sat upon the swing and kicked her shoes off. She swung back and forth lightly, a slight smile across her face. They were often mistaken for twins, though he was seventeen and she was fourteen. But his dear sister was mature for her age and looked older than she actually was. They even looked similar too. She had dark hair, just like him, though it fell in curls long her back and to her waist. They both had emerald green eyes and ivory skin. "Veronica..." he whispered... Almost painfully. He looked away and focused on his studies. But he couldn't help but look at her a few times, his heart racing inside his chest. He... longed for her... Deep down he wanted to just hold her. Maybe in a family way... But maybe... In a romantic way. He wasn't sure. But the issue bothered him. It scared him... ~~~~~~~<><><>~~~~~~~<><><>~~~~~~~ Oh my gosh! I can't help but think "He's so cute!" but he's a pervert too...
