  1. Episode 15:

    ~Łęãdįñg tø thę får ãwaÿ~

Hot, steaming air exploded from inside the broken down heater in the modernised apartment. A frustrated sigh could be encoded around the housing once over. The messy, silver strains Voodoo slumping over the worn out couch of the darkened lighting unit. Keeping the fighting spirit from not wanting Ichiru to scold him for breaking the run-down heater even more he used a last resort. As the night played curtain to his break in, slyly and smoothly making his way over the garage of a most unfortunate Controller.

Looking at the white ghost expression of the window glass it was all too clear that someone was watching Yusuke. Someone that easily sent chills down his spine, his light blue eyes widened in disbelieve he was hearing.

Focussing on not making a noise he easily 'unlocked' the padlock on the gardening shed. Thanks to a little exploding 'trump card'. Jumping above the mess he easily spotted the wrench he was aiming for, though the second he saw it the whole 'focusing' part went out the window. A variety of crashes, bangers and surely the mongrel cry of a stray cat just using up one of its nine lives trying to dodge a hammer.

"Crap! Now what am I supposed to do? Who's better to face? The bloody crazy, stalker Lucy or the terrifying domestic side of my beloved Ichiru Mamarou?" He awkwardly laughed clearing seeing no bright side to either one. Taking side of the stray cat he found his way into a dog kennel, apparently the cat’s friend from what Yusuke could translate from meownese. The short Doll was now forced into an even cramped housing state of the coincidently out adventuring German Shepard.

"Nya-" Yusuke swiftly covered the tiny mouth of the cat that resulted in a terrifyingly deep and sharp cut against his face. Hearing the subtle footsteps of shoes and what you would hear if you ever meet up with an axe wielding girl skipping across the muddying backyards from the wet rainfall.

"One day, on the lone ride of the swing set. Our fate was entered; neither you nor I could change it. The bond I nurtured and watch grow from such a young age. Even though some people wouldn't even give a girl like myself a chance. The words of my lips closed up in a rage of anxiety." Her voice cried only in the midnight of the dark moon.

Fearing about the battle to happen, what has changed and what has not. The destined bond she shares was now being interrupted by another, both cherish, both can burn up in a crisp of flames.

"These memories lost in the time warp of space. Do they even remember those times, if I've forgotten? Would they be worth remembering?" The crisp white haired girl kneeled against a church altar. Her hopes dashing away in a storm of confusion and anger.

"If no one had died. If I just paid that little more attention to you. Maybe I wouldn't be in this mess." Alcana stoked her hair gently as she crumpled up in a ball. Softly cradling herself at the fear of her own demise.

"Seriously. Bubble-Chan." The clicking of heavy shoes echoed inside the solemn air of the chapel.

"Li... I'm pathetic, couldn't even reach the small goal of revenge." Shivering on the floor, Alcana griped tightly onto her pale white dress. Her knuckles turning a silver white from the moons borrowed light.

Making not a sound the ice strained girl calmly kneeled down beside the crumbled up child.

"Gee, now you talk when you've almost meet your end. Blackening is a sin, just like the devil." The two childhood friends smiled softly.

"Father used to scold us for talking about such things. Though we'd always make up stories about it. Lina, revenge is not a path I want you to take. Those memories we had as children. I want them to live on." Alcana threw her head back to be parallel to the ceiling.

Down by the vibrant green meadows, decorated so delicately with an array of various wild flowers. Two small children ran against the melting sun. Laughing so softly, you'd have to be right next to them to hear.

"As the devil passed through the body of the virgin-"

"Her soul being emptied and her vessel tainted. The devil had now a new pawn in his chess game-"

"With the powerful and terrified Saviour. Soon to meet his demise in the next chapter. The angles already captured into the souls of sinners never being allowed to escape."

"You’re so smart Li! One day you’re going to become a wonderful novelist." The blond child blushed in return of the compliment.

The two gripped each other’s hands and their fingers intertwined. "After a lot of hard work. Though I'm sure your future is just as bright." Slowly the words come into a deep thought.

"It makes me feel uneasy thinking about the future. Though big bro Sorano always says to keep your head up!" Alcana jumped every few steps as Lina copied the momentum.

"Alcana get away from her right now!" A sharp voice cut the carefree atmosphere in half.

"Sorano? Wh... Why big bro?" She asked confused.

From the sudden appearance of Alcana's brother, Lina ran behind her close friend. Turning instantly towards her startled friend Alcana rubbed her friend’s shiny, blond head of hair softly.

Sorano had a disapproving domineer to his face, looking like he had to play the bad cop he smiled in agony. “Please be a good girl Alcana, mother and papa only have the best wishes for you at heart. Besides, she has the Doll of the devil.”

“That’s the last time I saw you before you moved. Never in a million years-“

“Yeah, life is a mystery. I surely didn’t count on you moving as well. Though thinking about Sorano’s last words… Just answer me this one last question.” Alcana wiped a small liquid drop from her eye as she laid soothingly in Lina’s lap.

Lina stayed still, relaxing her muscles in the winds arms. “Are you one of us? A Controller? It’s not worth to be one.”

“My reason is just like yours though. Neither of us wanted to be alone but here we are. Each forgetting the person that never left them. Can I join you?” Lina smiled tenderly as she realised Alcana from her grasp.
