You have to multiply the numerator by that number too. 1/8= 5/40 not 1/40
You could also do 6/ (5/6). The denominator is a quantity.
You have to give your solution in an ordered pair for a system of equations. You can try solving by substitution, elimination, or graphing....
The rest are just common denominator like azarah said.
To check your answer plug x and y back into both equations and make sure it works for both. 4.8(x)-3.8(y)=1 that works. 52.8 (11x)- 3.8 (y)= 49...
Which would be 3.8 if you plug in 4.8 for x in the second equation.
But you need to solve for y too.
