A lot of people have asked for this. I think it would be possible if you could buy it for ECs or through VIP.
Here’s the original post. They actually do state that you’ll need the VIP story pass in order to get the avatars.

You actually don’t have to do the Extracredible XC. You can do Collectathon, the one for hunt drops. Did you confuse XC with EC?
They sold for 1 🍱 initially, but I’d say 20c is fair now.
