Insurance is a business. It should not be government mandated. The government telling an insurance company to provide insurance to a 98 year old man with all of the cancers and AIDS would be like the government telling you to bet on a horse with 2 legs in a race. It's not beneficial for anyone.
It's quite simple imports are very high exports are very low, manufacturing jobs create jobs around them i think it's something like for every one manufacturing job it creates 5 jobs around it, I'm not sure you can entirely blame one government for years and years of neglect
Sloth, I should've explained that better. Obamacare will create more jobs. Companies who previously hired full time workers will now instead hire multiple part time workers to dodge the steep insurance costs associated with hiring full time workers. Nobody is winning here though. I dare you to go make a living working off of a part time paycheck.
So your saying that Insurance is a privilege, not a right. So a healthy young man deserves insurance more than a 98 year old sick man does?
Bring back high tariffs protect local industriesthat's coming from an Aussie not sure what you guys had
I was talking to the grinch when i made that statement iex.. im in the military ive had to feed a family off of 15000 in a year if i had to pay for expensive ass healthcare i eould have been SOL.. obamacare may not affect me now but i understand those who do need it from experience
Okay. I don't like politics nor do I really give a shit about them. But coming from someone like me... I'm a waitress I can barely afford to pay my rent let alone pay for insurance or get penalized for it. Do you know how much you have to pay for insurance a week? Comes down to around $25 dollars a week. And that may not seem a lot but think about it. If you get paid $100 dollars a week $25 dollars is a lot. Oh and if I choose not to buy this insurance that will fuck me up the ass I have to pay the government like a $900 dollar penalty? Really? So you're just dry fucking me now. You're already causing someone who's poor to go almost homeless then. Think about it.
People can't live forever. And that wasn't the point of that illustration. You can force someone to insure someone like that. If the man has already been a customer and then gets sick, insurance should do it's job. But if you require insurance to accept all people regardless of health, what motivation would anyone have to buy insurance until they get sick? That makes it where the insurance companies lose the money they need to provide coverage for the sick people. Obamacares solution is to make healthcare mandatory. That sounds good at first until you think about it. If insurance has to accept EVERY sick person, it costs them more money because they have to shell out the healthcare costs to so many people. That drives up the price of insurance of healthy people who are forced to buy something.
No because, judging from what you just said, your salary probably lets you qualify for a cheaper less costly insurance.
Actually it doesn't Elizabeth as I am full aware of the insurance that I'm available for as I have had to buy into this shit. It's $25 dollars a week darling
I have no sympathy for a company that refuses treatments based on a loophole in a policy meanwhile the CEO gets a 1-10mil payout when they leave the companyseems fair
If your want to reform healthcare that great. Our healthcare system is atrocious. This administration is attacking the wrong aspect of this though. Instead of making everyone cope with the enormous prices, make it where the prices are actually affordable. Doctors are overpaid and corrupt. Healthcare is so expensive because you can't put a price on life. If I sold a pill that people needed to stay alive I could make them pay whatever I wanted to for it. And the healthcare industry is making a killing off of that.
The government wants to stick it's grimy little finger into healthcare but it's poking the wrong place.
