UPDATE The Great Dorm Tower Update

Discussion in 'Announcements' started by [ATA]Marceline, Jul 12, 2026.

  1. 1) I'm not a tech personnel but I assumed when yall code an update for let's say (0kc -50/80mc) players it's supposed to cover all players within that bracket or is the glitch so much that your dealing with players individually.
    2) If the update is taking time to resolve then why are you all suddenly dropping new game updates instead of focusing on this major update and I get money is one reason but if you're old player base is spending just as much won't it be wiser to tackle this major update.
3)Why can't we all just get that double cash care pack for the meantime which wasn't enough but was better than nothing for the meantime and yes we mostly need more cash to bump tuts and deal with the current competition .
    4) now the early to mid players have been handled can the rest of us receive a stat range for the late to end game players and can you tell us when the next update is cause saying Halloween is a very vague answer and I doubt anyone who hasn't got the update would care about upgrading so that might be a low cash turnout on that basis but then again you know best.
    5) will the next update come in sets or all at once cause I bet anyone who didn't get it during that ATA day promo certainly didn't upgrade or did little upgrade in hopes of getting the update and I'm sure viewer of us will bother that's if they don't Auto quit temporarily
6)I hope this delay doesn't somehow exceed past Nov cause myself and alot of 100mc plus players will be devastated not to take advantage of BF hunt.
Oh well that's enough yapping and blabbering so have a nice day.

  2. I have one question that’s been on my mind as I’ve been watching what’s been going on. Even when players in the second and third categories receive their update, they won’t be able to spend that money properly on upgrading, because they’ll have to invest urgently in their tutors, whose stats have skyrocketed. I’m talking about those who are still trying to build their accounts whilst taking all aspects of the game into account. So, here’s the question: what are the benefits of this new system for those in the second and third categories? Atm, it all looks like an opportunity for smaller players to ug rapidly without bunch of solos we used to spend money and time on. I’m not trying to blame them for this, it’s absolutely not their fault. But so far, I don’t see any potential benefit for players who have already passed a certain level of progression.

  4. No edit button is insane ^ my brilliant idea would’ve been the edit feature at the round table!

  5. Maybe the update is the friends we made along the way

  6. The fact that people who worked hard on getting higher stats are now equal to new players stat wise is crazy. They got it easy getting to the stats we worked hard on. Yet I’m still waiting for the update itself.

  7. We don't want lucky boxes, we want the update ATA 🙄 halloween is over a month away, you expect us to wait that long?? We've already been waiting for quite some time now!

  9. Once again, another cash grab comes as a priority over fixing essential gameplay issues. No update that has yet been issued and another day left in the lurch.

Lucky boxes again? It seems like they only just left the shop? And a theme that would have most certainly suited next month better. I'm making a conscious effort to stop spending money on here for the foreseeable. ATA proving once again, profits above all else.

Beyond disappointing that there is still no update on these issues and im getting sick of thinking that one is coming imminently.

  10. Pretty sure they've based it off the highest tier of dormie you previously owned and number of rooms opened. Anyone with even just one >tier 10 and/or more than 55 rooms opened won't have had the new system yet. Yes its unfair that 20MCS have grown in some cases to 250MCS+ but doing it the other way round would have made the rebalance completely pointless to begin with. The only logical way would have been to release it to a selected group of active players to test for long enough before releasing for everyone else at the same time.

  11. Hi everyone,

I hear you, and I get why this has been frustrating. Almost two months is a long time to watch a change roll out gradually, especially if it feels like you're waiting at the back of the line. I wanted to walk through why I did it this way.

When we change something as core as this, we don't flip it on for everyone at once. We roll it out in stages so we can watch real player data along the way and catch anything that needs fixing before it's live for the whole game. It's the safest thing to do. The last thing I want to have to do is roll back the change, so I'm being extra cautious here. I know it's frustrating for you, and it's never fun to wait.

The order of this release was a deliberate choice. I wanted to share my reasoning:

Starting with players who had more room to grow gave us a safer first stage. If something needed tuning, better to catch it there than after our strongest players had already built their strategy (and their dorm mates) around it.

It also meant a large, varied group of players putting the change through its paces, which gives us much better data than a small test group would. That's part of why we've been able to keep tuning the rebalance since the beta test, and made a couple of small adjustments even after it went live; more players testing means more chances to catch something before it becomes a bigger problem.

And on the fairness question specifically: players further along earn significantly more per hit than our new and early players, purely from everything they've already built up. While I understand that gap between players may be a little smaller now, it still won't be erased by rollout order. What rollout order does change is who feels the benefit of this specific update first. On top of my reasoning for safety and larger test groups, I felt it was fairer to give that to players with more ground to make up, instead of giving it to our strongest players, which would have only stretched that gap further.

Where things stand: the earlier stages are fully live now. The remaining groups are still ahead of us, and we're targeting having everyone on the new version before Halloween. We don't have exact dates locked in yet for those next stages, but we'll share them as soon as we do rather than leave you guessing. My current plan is not to split these groups up any further, so I'm hoping for only two more rollouts.

I appreciate you sticking with us through this, and I appreciate the feedback, even the tough parts. It's clear how much this update matters to you, and that's exactly why we're taking our time to get the rollout right instead of rushing it.

“hey chatgpt make a clarification because we messed up & we suck but we still need to milk our players’ money, make sure it sounds genuine and lengthy”

  13. It's unfortunate that we keep having to wait for updates and responses from ATA. And with this explanation, we're still left in the dark, again...
At least give us the MCS ranges for each group so people know where they fall...

And as for larger players earning more per hit, that's literally because they've POURED LARGE AMOUNTS OF THEIR HARD EARNED REAL MONEY to get where they are, only to now be losing their friends/tuts to these new people that keep magically growing & have the surplus of money from the update.
The amount of money they make per hit has no real-time correlation to these accounts that have tripled in stats & got hundreds of trillions in refunds that can now SNATCH OUR FRIENDS!!! THIS IS WHAT YOUR COMMUNITY IT UPSET ABOUT!!!

We keep talking about the cash aspect of it because we can't afford to keep our friends hired anymore! We dont care how much we make per hit, we need the money for our tuts!😭😭😭

"We hear you! -but let's keep misinterpreting their complaints for fun"😮‍💨😔💔

  14. I just feel defeated at this point I have played for 7 years and was so proud to finally hit my stat just for literally those that were 13rd my size to now be double me. It is a horrible feeling.

  16. You made it unbalance to all of us btw. If you guys made the roll out from strongest to weakest, nothing will really change tbh. Yet because you guys pull this shit on us, people who used to be smaller stats are literally double our stats now. And unless you changed or put a cap, an account who recently received an update (i saw someone went from 50 to 200) are bound to make more cash compare to people who still havent received an update yet, furthering the gap 🤡 Tuts are being taken left and right, and some can't even hire back tuts because of large gap cash wise. They have to either flash or stay on ec parties all the time in order to just hire back, not even updgrade btw. But I guess its a win situation to you since they'll need dns to do it.

And you haven't answered some questions regarding the stat range roll outs. I guess you'll answer some of our questions again only when there's a new pay to win events like lucky boxes 🤣

  17. It's honestly exhausting to keep seeing the same genuine questions get asked by several people over and over be ignored only to have some bs shoved at us in an attempt to pacify us for a bit so we spend on the money grabs that are pushed out. How convenient that we get a reply again on the day lucky boxes come out and invites are part of the hunt.

Why should I drop invites and get less money than I'd be making if I had the update? Why should I continue to support a company that is basically spitting in my face for the simple fact that I've been around for almost 13 years and spent some money along the way to get where I am?

We still haven't been given stat ranges. There hasn't even been an acknowledgment saying something like, "We can't give specific stat ranges". It's just completely ignored repeatedly. We still haven't seen the tutor issue addressed. People with alts that got their refund are able to use that cash to force bump tutors rather than upgrade, which then puts others who have made genuine friendships with some of these tutors and helped them along the way at a disadvantage because they've yet to get the update and don't have the funds to hire back. Then when they get their upgrade and refund in who knows how long and finally hire their tutor back, the toxicity in this community will probably lead to that original pup being put in sfw for finally being able to hire their tutor back.

Still firmly on the I'm not spending anything train. Not even saved up ec.

  18. Please give us a reasonable answer to a few questions:

1.) Since cohorts are grouped based on stats, what are the stat ranges for what qualifies to be mid game/late game. Would prefer to get numbers of players who get the update on roll out and the remaining players who still need it for their cohort groups.

2.) Higher end players are losing tutors due to the update and some tuts are forced to not upgrade till their pupils get the update to avoid getting snatched, by the time end game players get their turn - they will be forced to use their cash back in rehiring tutors leaving little for their own upgrade (since some noticed a drop in stats after update). End game players will prolly have to spend more money to do solos afterwards to upgrade. GL yall

3.) People who are 50mcs that have been given the update since last month has since reached at least 150mcs+ and thus earn more $$$/hit, this would not be a problem if roll out was within weeks but if its months then thats money lost by non updated players that i'm assuming you guys will not compensate during the cash backs.

  19. Before halloween they the dev said... but it could be Halloween next year or 2 years from now because what you guys initially posted and promised didnt happen for the rollout timeline months ago. so how can you assure us players that this is THIS YEAR "before halloween" and not some distant galaxy year?

is it October 30? what is before halloween its too vague mister

  20. I appreciate an update, but you still haven't addressed any issues Conclusively. The debate about the current unfairness with people on the new update VS the old update is the current cash imbalance that is being felt through the game. The earlier game players that were only 10MCS who are now the same (or more) stats as a 100mcs player is earning the same cash potential as someone who is still 'TECHNICALLY' further in the game in terms of dorm progression. You have known this is an issue since the rollout started, hence the carepacks you initially gave. Those issues don't just stop because there is no longer a promotion. We have been screaming for something, ANYTHING to help cushion that blow for weeks to no avail.

Another Generic post for something that was supposed to be rolled out fully over a month ago already. So, me and many others have grown tired and impatient as I refuse to believe that these questions we are asking are not brazen, wrong or unjust.

I get a change this monumental takes time and patience, but only you, the Devs, have the information that can put us at ease and help the division we currently feel. So, until there is a clear and coherent plan.. i stand by my last point, I shall not be spending any more money in this game until that happens.
