šØ ENOUGH IS ENOUGH šØ This community has spent years building this game. Weāve spent money. Weāve recruited players. Weāve built clubs, families and friendships. Weāve kept this game alive. And this is how weāre repaid? The age rating has changed, leaving many of us deeply concerned about whether enough safeguards exist for younger players in a game with private messaging, user-generated content and mature interactions. At the same time, long-time players have watched names being changed under the new Terms of Use while genuine community concerns continue to be brushed aside. Weāre tired of feeling ignored. If our voices donāt matter, our wallets will. š COMMUNITY SPENDING BLACKOUT From 25/08/26 until 01/09/26, weāre asking every player, every club and every family to stand together. ā Keep playing the game. ā Use the Bentos and Extra Credits you already have. ā Do NOT buy Extra Credits. ā Do NOT buy Doctorās Notes. ā Do NOT renew or purchase subscription packs. This isnāt about hurting the game. Itās about reminding ATA that this community deserves to be heard, and that player safety and community trust should come before profits. Change your status to: āWe built this community. We wonāt fund decisions that put children at risk.ā Then post that status in your Tutor Chat, Club Chat, Family Chat, and anywhere else players gather. Encourage everyone you know to use the same status and join the spending blackout. One player can be ignored. Thousands canāt. We built this community. Now letās remind ATA who keeps it alive.
Adding my two sense. I believe the players need a spending break. I do believe everyone should step back and not spend until the devs stop producing so much paywall events and exclusive content. This is no longer a matter of, āIf youāre broke just say that.ā This is a matter of outright greed towards a huge player base. If it came from a huge name, thereād be news articles everywhere. Unfortunately this does not have that kind of publicity. But this needs to stop. For the past year, Iāve taken a step back and stopped spending as much. Iāve noticed the game is not fun unless youāre spending. Itās a game for crying out loud. Iāve also noticed through these crossovers itās sooo much easier to collect āgemsā than it is to collect extra credits on PIMD. Itās⦠made by the same developers mind you. Itās a choice to drain your players dry, and thatās how youāll wind up with less and less of a community. PIMD is toxic, letās be completely honest. When I joined, I quickly realized PIMD is full of the nobodies that didnāt fit āinā in high school. Most of those nobodies take out years of those pent up feelings on other players and create that toxic āhigh schoolā clique thing we all see. Now, adding money and spending to that equation not only divides us even more, but it worsens those connections and relationships between āclassesā. I think A Thinking Ape needs to take a step back and remember why they created Party In My Dorm. What did you want to create within this community? What did want to gain when seeing your players enjoy the game? What were your morals when creating the game? And lastly, how do you want to see this game end? I could just be yapping since I have the stage, but Iāve always been quiet about my views on the game ā because Iād hoped it would get better. But here we all are, frogs in a warming pot.
And donāt get me started on the crossovers. Iām done spending with ATA for now. The KOH crossover trapped the new accounts we were forced to create in a dead realm only created for the crossover. So when the crossover ended, half the players quit. So every penny I spent reaching th25 for the crossover was a total waste.
The battle pass thing also drives me nuts. Its a money grab. Some like myself don't have the money to spare to get stuff wencan actually use, instead we get crappy stuff, its annoying. With every change it isolates people so that people leave the game, changing ages, making people pay for things that will just disappear anyway, things like that. It doesn't sit well with players. We enjoy the game, but the changes are providing a negative impact on the game, and i don't see it lasting long with all these changes.
I 100% support this. I personally already had canceled my monthly subscription prior to this forum post because of the changes to lowering the age bracket. This hits especially hard for me because for a period of time before my now adult daughter received her Bipolar diagnosis and the help she desperately needed, she was a VERY vulnerable minor who was being influenced and groomed by older men. Myself, her grandfather, her case worker and a human trafficking worker from an outreach program was trying to get it nipped in the butt. It was stemmed from programs like this where there was no real safeguards to protect our children. Before you come at me sideways for allowing my child on harmful apps, I did EVERYTHING in my power to protect my daughter but kids do lie especially when nasty predatory creeps have money, drugs and alcohol on the table for these vulnerable people.
To ATA: a community is not just a source of revenue, but a large group of people who have invested years of their lives and hearts into this spaceāwhen you ignore our concerns regarding safety and trust, you aren't just making a business decision, you are actively wearing down the foundation that keeps your game alive. It is time to stop prioritizing profit over the people who built this world from the ground up. Itās time to start actually listening and working with us not against us and vice versa. š
Well said @Mina-KY4F you have encapsulated the sentiment of many many people!! This is amazing and I 1,000,000% support this!! Have already ditched my gold subscription after being renamed & silenced so many times over all this BS. Very much looking forward to a "no spend" period
While I will never regret the friends and wonderful people I've met on this game, seeing all these changes to the ages of folks allowed to play and the apparent money hungry attitude, I highly regret having spent any money and time on this game. Already stepped way back from this game and it's looking like now would be the perfect time to walk away all together. Doesn't appear that ATA is receptive to actually listening to their player base about their concerns.
Completely agree as well with everything said above. My spending here stopped a long time ago. The money speaks louder than our voices. They can't even give us the most basic thing....communication. Concerns raised in forums don't get answers. Concerns raised through tickets get told to post in forums. When players create enough uproar to finally get a reply from ATA, it's a half-assed statement just hoping to get everyone off their backs for a bit.
I started playing this game in 2016. Back then hunts and events weren't b2b but an every month thing. What happened to that? Apart from the hunts the avis are becoming more and more ADULT RATED! A male/ female named in a bathtub full of bubbles that leave little to no imagination? Like who is even in charge of creating these avis? Not to mention the items?? I swear PIMD is starting to become more and more like Roblox and not in a good way with the lawsuit they currently still have my add you. WE players built this community and WE players turned into something worth coming onto to see and talk to the very same friends we made as newbies! Where is this companies integrity other than seeing a new player as a CASH COW!
I came to PIMD from Kingdoms at War, a much more hardcore PvP game. We brought the terminology that does not make sense in PIMD with us (LCBC makes no sense here as there is no land nor builds to be completed š). PIMD quickly became more of a community game for us from KaW, we had clubs, clubs people would stay in for months, sometimes years at a stretch. There were no kinis/cats/dogs/invites. You built yourself via wars, and our community created many types of wars at first. The main two were Plunder Wars and wedding wars, those were player created on top of the game driven club wars. ATA watched us, and learned, and gave us system wars where we were divided or divided ourselves (Boys vs. Girls wars come to mind). It took effort to gather the parts and build aviās and misc. but you earned it⦠mostly To make the game profitable they made parties, including cats and kinis parties. We rolled with it and confused the wars. Then they came out with hunts, dog parties, invite parties and the absolute worst thing ever to hit the game⦠GOLD PASSES. Now begins the era of ATA killing the community and promoting profit over content. No longer did you have to remain loyal to a club (or in Rising Stars case, a group of clubs), no, now you could āhopā around clubs to drop EC parties and spend DNās to chase that ever increasing and unobtainable LCBC cap. Leaderboards became king for both itemization and bragging rights, who could outspend the rest to reach that glorious T10⦠And now. They silence for the absolute, most ridiculous reasons, claiming it is to enhance the enjoyment of everyone in the game, yet never has the core community been so dissatisfied. A little anecdotal side note for evidence. In the 15 years I e been playing, my first silence was about a month ago, and Iāve been silenced twice more since. My style of playing nor has my speech changed in the last decade and a half, but apparently I am now unacceptable by ATA standards. Now, they claimed they werenāt reducing the age requirement after a mis-understand post by ATA staff, yet they spout drivel about age verification and restrictions to the game for those under the legal age, all the while the Mods are spewing forth the company line that āthe TOS still claims the game to be 18+ā. Who are we to believe? Who are we to trust? Certainly not ATA anymore, theyāve lost sight of the big picture due to declining revenue and active users as reported by their parent company DECA Games who is owned by Embracer group. The community doesnāt spend enough, so they will squeeze every nickel from the community, even if it means taking the money from 12 year olds with absentee parents and a credit card.
I donāt think a week is enough. After a week people will just spend what they would have anyway, just double it up to hit the leaderboard⦠Which wonāt even be a blip on ATAs radar
I definitely support this! After having to lose my ign that was based off the seven deadly sins and wasn't even using it in a bad way because Lust means other things. And I've started to slowly step away from the game because of how things have been changing, Ive lost some amazing friends because of these changes caused them to leave the game and it's just dumb how things are being changed and handled. I will not be spending any money on this game anymore.
One voice can be ignored. A community standing together cannot. I support the 25/08/26 ā 01/09/26 spending blackout. ā Weāve given this game our time, money and years of our lives. The least we deserve is to have our concerns heard. Keep playing. Keep the community strong. Just donāt spend. United, we have a voice.
Single City⦠the game in current crossover status still maintains a 16+ rating in the app stores while PIMD has dropped to a 12+\13+ rating food for thought
All I am seeing recently is MONEY HUNGRY development trying to hide behind a ADULT game they want susceptible CHILDREN on.. GROW UP DEVELOPERS. You are making plenty of money on this game. Make any kind of age change and I promise you will have so much lash back YOUR POCKETS will starve.. EVERYONE needs to think of the kids.. STOP SPENDING and they will see we mean business and hopefully they will listen..
I don't understand what exactly the protest is asking for. Previously: Underage people would play the game and ATA had no way of knowing. Now: Age verification is in place, so anyone unable to verify they are 17+ has a block to all social features. Is this not the safeguarding you want? What would you have them do differently? I too, do not want children anywhere near this game, and was shouting the loudest when ATA was silent to the age rating changes. But in my opinion, they have cleared it up pretty well. I have tested an account where I did not verify my age, I had access to zero social features, no gifts, no walls, no PMs, no status, no friends, nothing. My take-away from that was, ATA really doesn't want underage people playing the game, and this is their way to mitigate it happening. Short of actual ID verification, what would you have them do...?
