Hello, everyone. I decided to make this Thread as a space to communicate and list your frustrations regarding ATA. As we know, these developments are only ever known to resolve an issue if they receive backlash from the minority of the community for changes to be made regarding the game's current situation. In my own personal experience, the ATA team seems to display this facade they are always willing to hear, address, and consider any concerns each player may have, but when it come to individuals submitting help tickets in efforts of hearing a response back from the support team, conversations remain unanswered or closed in most cases. Despite so many players investing thousands of dollars to keep this game from further plummeting to it's downfall, these developers have this mindset to take advantage and believe they have no obligation to comment on the ongoing issues players have been complaining about the recent changes. At first, I was honestly fond of the idea of having more chats designed for one topic to build more structure and create organization, but the updated silence policies has negatively impacted that idea. People who wrongfully post a banner in the wrong public channel should not be automatically silenced without a given warning to begin with. Keep in mind that we do not even have the option to mute every channel of our preference because certain ones are considered to be "too hot" to disregard. This, in my opinion, is an unfair advantage that needs to be resolved immediately, especially since players have committed their time in effort int signing moderator applications, and one of the qualifications mentioned the participant to not have any recent silences. However, this update has in turn jeopardized our chances of getting chosen to have an opportunity of bettering the aspect of the game, and supporting the community in the process. Moderators act upon these types of small issues without breaking a sweat, but whenever it comes to personally contacting them regarding another player who may be impersonating as the developers themselves, or disrespecting a certain group of people, our comments end up being brushed off and deleted, asking me question what purpose they truly serve as well if they fail to further investigate a situation if need be. Inflation has also been a major problem in the game ever since ATA initiated a ban wave in the past. Some may have been valid, while others were invalid, such as one of my own personal accounts that never involved me exchanging any type of miscellaneous items consistently. Until this day, there has not been any solution, yet there are other updates getting released that the majority have barely asked for. It is also ironic to me how the majority of players complain about how greedy the developers can be, which is true, but I have seen countless times that nobody attempts to publicly call them out whenever one might be seen in Campus on rare occasions. If we, as a community, want change to happen, then we need to continously express these issues together for our feedback to be taken seriously, especially individuals that are still investing money on this platform. In conclusion, not everyone may agree or share the same opinion as well, but this is a space where you are express any frustrations you may have in the game that needs to be accommodated for immediately. Please feel free to share this with friends to being awareness, and I hope you all have a wonderful day ahead.
Overall, I think the ATA team are really involved with their communities, and put a lot of emphasis on hearing and acting on player feedback. A lot of games do not have such involved community teams, and customer support doesn’t go much further than helping with account/purchase issues. I definitely understand how it can feel unfair to share feedback and not have it acted on immediately, but I think players may not understand the process for implementing changes. Any changes to the game have to be written and tested before they appear in the game. For small changes, this could take a week, but for bigger system changes, this could take 6-12 months. New features or styles of events we see in the game could have been in production waaaaay before we see them. In a similar vein, changes and updates to the game also require a lot of planning, and roadmaps would be created 6-12 months, or even longer, in advance. If things go wrong with a new feature, there may be limited time allowed to go back and make changes without impacting the overall plan, so the team must prioritise what they need to focus on first. I promise that the devs definitely see and hear what the community is saying, and I bet they wish they could make changes faster too. It’s important to keep having these conversations so they continue to see it, but also, I think they’d appreciate a little more understanding from us as well 💚
I do tremendously agree that, us, as a community should also be open to looking at the perspective of the developers as well, because I can understand having to code and attempting to reach everyone's understanding can be challenging, and I do admire them for their commitment in that area. However, in my own perspective, there should be improvement on their part for understanding how these issues are impacting other, while clarifying they intend to resolve these issues eventually. I, myself, have messaged them occasionally, whether it was about appealing for a silence, or making suggestions, and my conversations would always get closed without any response given at least. I always prioritize in complementing the their work in some areas prior to discussing problems that are making the game less appealing, and it gives me the impression that they either can not take constructive criticism well, or have no intention of resolving these issues from the lack of communication. However, I do see your point as well, and I do understand that patience is a virtue, and there might indeed by a pending solution be reworked in the process of countering these difficulties. Thank you so much for sharing your opinion, and I love the way you worded it as well. It definitely has me having a different perspective, too.
I have definitely seen some complaints around the ticketing system, and have gotten stuck with the support bot myself. I would love to see some improvements there - especially the option to scrap a ticket and start over in case you do get stuck 🙏 I also see your point about recent changes with the channels and silencing policy, and think the mod team did a wonderful job of answering questions and concerns, and handling a lot of the player frustration 💚 I think it would have been helpful to see more dev interaction following the updates, but I’m also not sure how receptive the community would have been, so it probably wouldn’t have been too productive 😂
