I really like that we can still opt out of seeing specific channels and now filter posts we want to see. Hopefully this update will make it easier to find clubs and items to buy/trade. I’m thankful something is being done about the sugar mommy scammer posts! With this update will the ads for the game be changed? I feel like anytime I see them it’s advertising this game as a hardcore rp/sexy talk game. Also can you elaborate on what you mean with the age verification? Will we have to submit IDs and all that I’m so confused on that part. (Maybe I’m misunderstanding)

If we're going to have 75 chats, can the devs at the top of chat (like where CA is) have like a short run down of what each chat is for instead of having to keep checking forums? 😂 like it says "now viewing x chat" can it say x chat: club banners, whatever at least for now? Idk how to phrase my thought. Ok I'm leaving forums now (no I'm not) bye.
wasn't expecting this, but i agree with other players in regards to a better PSA about the change. when you don't collect hunt rewards in time, it'll send a message to you from the PIMD account that you've received xyz from past hunt. I often click off of the notices when i open my game because i cba to read it. a dm though, i would read because it's a notif to clear. idrc about the separate channels. idk if it'll actually be beneficial to have multiple channels. ik we can mute some, but will it cause more issues with the lag? with certain keywords being flagged as inappropriate, hopefully it'll cut down on the spam accounts that ask for you to be a sugar baby for $500 or whatever they say now. only time will tell
Okay, I just opened it now, and yeah, it really isn’t very convenient to use at the moment. It feels kind of laggy, and overall there are just too many chats if you actually want to participate in things. Honestly, I feel like one general chat for communication (and for new players as well) and one chat for club banners, flashes, and trades would probably be enough (tbh, I don’t really see the point of those purple banners showing which club started which party, but maybe that’s useful for some people and I just don’t get it). Right now I don’t even know which channels I should disable, because I potentially need information about flashes, trades, and also want to talk to people, and at the moment it just feels like way too much at once. Hopefully there will be more updates aimed at making all of this more user-friendly🫶🏻
To answer a small section of your message. It’s useful for POTD testing or to land on the club page to join a club or to look what kind of club exists. Some see patterns when POTD / PPOTD is found and many starts the same party then they spam the chat to see if party name is party of the day as they cannot / don’t know how to check forums or find what make a party POTD based on the reward given upon completion of a party.

I don’t mind pub going away, but I do have concerns that y’all are entirely restructuring campus chat and now if anyone simply posts a POTD/PPOTD lbh banner or recruiting banner in the wrong channel after two weeks it’ll be a problem or “violation”. Target the sexually explicit all you want, it’s honestly annoying in campus chat and everywhere, but the rest is a bit much. I think a channel for newcomers is fine, but to move trade and lbh help/club posts elsewhere and act like this is the problem is not it for me. Y’all absolutely didn’t need to do this to campus or make so many new channels. Probably going to upset many clubs and admins. I unfollow almost all chat spaces except campus and club chat because multiple channels is frustration and overwhelming anyway. I feel like “cosplay is not consent” works for actual humans and is a cop out here. I agree with the sentiment. For cosplayers and women everywhere irl. How is ATA going to cite advertisers and regional regulations around these chat changes, but still keep avatars that look sexually explicit? The content y’all actually put out violates a lot of these new regulations in other regions etc. Let’s clean up the avatars too. Cosplay is not consent, yes, but y’all are also setting a tone here yourselves. And I don’t just mean the female avatars. How many times have we had male avis grasping their bulges or just barely covered as well? Avis with their butt cheeks or boobs out? Suggestive poses etc? Yes it’s not consent, but then why are you making the environment so sexual that it fosters this bs? I have seen people in the forum threads under hunts being fed up with the scantily clad and highly sexualized avatars and hunt content. It’s time for y’all to take a bit of responsibility for the environment you’ve created as well. It’s a ATA and certain players problem. Not just the players. I’m not a prude by any means, but even I feel uncomfortable using some of the avis because they’re just not representative of how a lot of dress or conduct ourselves in day to day life. For gods sakes y’all just had a stripper blue print avi not that long ago how is that not affecting your platform/app review and advertisers or availability in other countries? TL;DR: Good riddance to pub chat. Why are y’all messing up the campus chat though then punishing people who aren’t posting explicit sexual content just other game related stuff you think should’ve been elsewhere suddenly after two weeks? Instead of just implementing a no sexually explicit chat in any public spaces rule and enforcing it after pub chat’s removal. Also, y’all stay peddling sexually explicit content so take accountability for the environment you created in the first place. Then we can have the cosplay is not consent chat. Bc let me be so for real, while I fully back the cosplay is not consent sentiment, avatars and this pixel game are not cosplay.
THANKS! I really appreciate this update, not only because it's a way of trying to handle the over-sexualized messages in pub (and often in campus too...), it also provides clear separate channels for different needs, which I really appreciate. Especially the division between trade posts and club posts is relevant to me because I find it annoying to try and sell something and have dozens of club banners and party help banners popping up all around. Personally I would have also added an option to opt-out of campus, which is supposedly now only for general chat, but that's not a priority; I lived with it on until today, I can live with it on going forward too! Another thing I maybe would have done is adding a specific channel for "looking for" - not where one can explicitly look for everything you flagged as sexual, of course, but for socializing in general. The whole RP, friends, "someone to talk to 'cause I'm bored", all of that, so that genuine requests too have a place all theirs instead of being lumped in campus.
I have to agree with this. If we have to split things into so many channels either get rid of the speaker limit or give us more and make them get easier to earn for free, ATA. This is not another opportunity to nickel and dime players.
I actually really like this update 👁️👄👁️ it’s organized and allows people to freely advertise, trade, chat, etc without getting bombarded with the newbie accounts spamming weird things lol. Having separate channels for clubs, trades, tips and chats is so good- it keeps things fresh and relevant to what players are looking for. although I do mourn Pub in name, it was an iconic place can’t lie, I do think gameplay wise this is a good move.
Yeah, I get that, but personally I find it much more convenient to check parties through campus buzz than to try figuring out who started what while the chat is constantly flying upward. But that’s probably just my personal preference.
