I like that the rewards can be earned over time. I don't buy the excuse that it was for game balance regarding the BFTP boxes. The current items were all recycle furni or old items. I do not see how this will protect the economy from new items tanking in price in the future. The only item that needs to be rebalanced for long term game health is the bento. And while these changes will certainly affect the economy, I do not believe it will be in favor of those of us who rebuke the black market and attempt to play the game within the tos. What I do see is that players who spent smaller amounts of money at a time will recieve less rewards immediately, and that there will be an increase in pressure to purchase again. I also see slightly more motivation to redirect players back into the app after directing them out of the app to make the purchase. This feels like more of a psychological sales tactic than a change "for the economy". I see why you didn't say that, but, the "for the economy" feels disingenuous.
This has really been disappointing. Let me explain: The only good point: the stars do not expire, nice i like that part. The rest of this? I'm not a big fan. They will be so hard to get the pieces you actually want - 100 tokens for one 10ec key??? RIDICULOUS. if you want to be nice to the players STOP forcing people into spending and those that can't spend, you are forcing them into missing out. Im actually so disappointed because this could of been so good ATA. I think you've made me want to spend less in the game instead.
See? Thatβs why I am telling you to fix display asap. People are confused because without clicking on offer prices look totally ridiculous. To the person above: itβs 2 pim-keys and 2 furni keys. Still donβt know if itβs a good deal tho.
You get 2 pimd keys and 2 furni keys. Unfortunately, i think its maxed. I bought up to 500 points worth and then it disappeared.
I came back on this post to give an update for anyone who hasnt tried. As explained above, i used 500 of the reward points on the keys and then it disappeared from the little shop area. Unless it comes back like a day or so after buying, im going off the assumption that these are limited/buy a week? I will continue to test it out. But for those who are curious: 178 RP: 2 MoneyDog Cookies 200 RP: 2 HypnoCat Cookies 330 RP: 4 MoneyDogs 280 RP: 3 HypnoCats 150 RP: 5 DNs 100 RP: 2 PIMD Keys, 2 Furniture Keys 80 RP: 1 Party Yacht 250 RP: 5 Bentos 199 RP: 1 BFTP BOX 50 ECs: 200 RP Tokens
Edit: I mean not necessarily 1 purchase, but they each have purchase limits that aren't properly displayed. But they will reappear in a week for you to be able to purchase again.
On more than one occasion, I have defended ATA's work. The PIMD community is one of the most unmanageable because where 10 people ask for something, there are 8 who say they are against it and satisfying us all becomes difficult, I can understand it. But with recent events, it's clear that PIMD is no longer truly free to play. Even just finding something valuable in the lite boxes or timer boxes seems like a miracle. If I started playing PIMD today, I would probably quit after two weeks. Only those who truly spend a lot get the same. Which, on the one hand, is fair. You pay for a service, you should get it. But on the other hand, it creates a huge gap with those who don't spend on this app because they don't want to or can't. And that's not what should happen in a free-to-play game. And, once again, all of this facilitates the much-hated black market. Why spend β¬23 to get 200 stars (the new rewards, whatever their name is) and buy 5 bento boxes, when there are those on the black market who can give you 6-8 times as much for the same amount? Wouldn't it be better to try to help even those who don't spend to stay in this game? As a company, I believe that having ALL customers happy is better than having them all angry π because even those who usually spend on this app are getting tired. I'm trying to put it down as a suggestion, but what if the new webstore reward points weren't (unwanted π ) prizes for those who spend, but prizes for a quest? For example, once a week, or once a month, you do an event like the one that was done before Halloween, the one where you received the coffin-shaped stat item 666,666/666,666 (I don't remember the name now). For example: "Complete Fake Art 101" reward -> 30 stars, etc... This way, even those who don't spend money are helped to feel a little gratified for the TIME they invested in this app. And it also gives them the opportunity to obtain items that, in other cases, they would hardly have, to be able to use or sell them in the app, making more bentoes circulate in this app, than in the black market. If even those who don't spend manage to get something more, it means: happier players, positive reviews, more players coming = more chances for you to have more people supporting PIMD EVEN ECONOMICALLY. Anyone who spends in this app, anyone who uses the webstore, already has benefits (keys, kinis, BFTP boxes, cats, bentoes, dogs, etc.) as reward points. So I think it wouldn't be a loss for anyone, try to make happy even the ones who don't spend. Otherwise, you shouldn't leave the app free to play, when that's almost no longer the case.
I think the UI of the shop just needs a whole overall. There's so many mini sections now for different in-game currencies / tokens / shards / what have you. There's gotta be a better way to display everything to make it easier to navigate et cetera.
It would have been a nice gesture to have taken people who spend large amounts into consideration and backtracked payments in order to allocate points to them accordingly to show appreciation to your games spenders.
I completely agree. Even after two years of playing, I still get confused in the shop sections. Just recently, I couldn't find the jet, trying in vain to find it among club bonusesπ
