wish there was more of a visual announcement that the cap changed - you could only tell through checking the forum post and the update was made 21 minutes after the party started (in which people already exceeded the max hits needed). crying for my dns i wasted đ
Perhaps you should have been active in providing event feedback in forums prior to these changes being made. It would have been super helpful for devs to get some feedback from someone who didn't want slower parties, when tons of people were asking for them. If this party fails or goes badly, I'm sure ATA will be happy to readjust things again. These campus takeover parties are still quite new and they've shown that they're more than happy to make adjustments based on feedback. You just need to be part of providing the feedback in you want your voice heard. âď¸
Heey. So like- apparently a lot of players had already used their dns and passed the new 2,500 cap with their 2,500 hits. The original forum post was updated with the new cap without a formal announcement long after the party had started. Will their dns be returned or their drops be honoured? Added onto that, Iâm sure everyone appreciates you taking into account their feedback on slowing down the party but it may be a little too slow now, no? Can we find some middle ground? Especially with people not needing to hit as hard now? Went from insanely easy to unnecessarily difficult. Okei merci bye (Bye)
I do agree, the hit cap should have been announced earlier and players shouldn't have been able to continue hitting after reaching that cap.
We didn't have any say in how much more difficult the devs would make the parties though. I've put in a few DNs, but I figured they'd make it to where we would be likely to finish in an hour. This is the third (I think) event they've done like this, and they've had to adjust the party difficulty A LOT. People are just trying to give them feedback so they can find a sweet spot of difficulty. If we start to get close to failing, the devs will gladly go back in and adjust the difficulty. Stop acting like the people "complaining" wanted the parties to be impossible and make the other players do all the work. Y'all are choosing to blow DNs instead of give feedback either written or more action-based.
Sadly, I assume the issue is that some people never heard/been to flashes and donât know that itâs only on them to hit the party on time. Hence I think changing the level was not necessary just like 2500 hit cap (was this campus party not the reason for us to burn dns left/bought on black friday?). Since this party is as hard as the one we failed last campus event I strongly suggest to make the medium level if thatâs even possible to change again on weekends for the team (not easy, not hard).
Don't completely agree with the original post but Iâm also working full time and hitting parties so don't just assume people who hit and making effort are jobless, etc. Heard too many people call me you are jobless, carless broke ass who doesn't have life just because I hit party.
i really do enjoy this event and being able to interact with a large amount of the player base i donât normally see. something that has really frustrated me is the changes in the current party. many players werenât aware of the reduction in max hits (from 5k to 2.5k) until 30-40min into the party. i understand the change in difficulty to assist w party speed & to allow more players to hit. however reducing the cap to hit ESPECIALLY when you canât see how many times youâve hit is frustrating. i really hope to see changes in the next campus event to allow players to see their hits and maybe more communication in the chat from ATA. maybe adding a âcampus announcementâ like we do in clubs or campus chat.
I think we need a happy medium in this. A little more difficult but not as difficult as it is. We have a little over a day to finish and yet weâre having issues with it now.
I don't think we're having issues. We've done two bars in an hour and 15. It may be a struggle overnight, but maybe they could adjust back to the easy difficulty for the overnight ones?
Personally, I really dislike that there is a Leaderboards for a community event. Itâs supposed to be for the community. Everyone should be getting the same good rewards, not just people who decide to use 100+ DNs. Like we have the casual players vs. more frequent spenders/people who want to spend just because there are certain rewards that are locked behind T10-T50 or so. It wouldnât hurt to make an event absolutely free sometimes, especially a community one.
This is a community event not a flash though. If someone comes on 2-3 hours in and itâs over I could get where youâre coming from but one party lasted what like 8 mins? The first one blew over in about 12 mins. I am curious on the event that failed. I remember the first time they did community events we were struggling on the last bar but they added more of the items in shop. I wouldnât think they would let something like this fail but anythingâs possible. Also just adding in, use your dns however you please but isnât there a promo coming up? And some notice in game wouldâve been nice for the changes. Iâm sure people in the special chat made others aware but I havenât looked in there since the start and Iâm sure others have been ignoring it.
Hi! Just jumping in to say the following. I have spent at least 200 dns on the 7pm est event on 12/20. During this time the hit cap changed twice from the mentioned 5000 to 2,500 roughly 24 minutes into this party. This announcement did not come in the form of a push notification or any notification so I was under the impression the originally 5,000 hits required for max was still valid. This isnât okay. To add, there is not a feature to see how much youâve hit so far in order for max so unless you are actively counting youâre blowing doctor notes, because the game does not actively stop you from hitting in the form of failing hits once you have hit your cap. This is also not okay. Due to this delayed communication I am requesting reimbursement for the dns I wasted in order to get to a âcapâ.
Why would I have given feedback when everything was fine to me? The parties were literally 10-15 minutes long. Maybe people should of set up alarms like some of us did. You didn't see anyone on that lb complain about the speed of it rly. WHICH are the ones spending. So uhm why did they decide to go ahead and make these changes to accomodate the minority, aka people who also don't spend their dns to actually help in this COMMUNITY event. Maybe they should of let it go. And once the whole event is over ask for feedbacks. Not change in the middle of it.
Yeah we need a middle ground from the previous difficulty and with this one. We only have 1 hour and 30 mins left with the cash bar with only 1/4 in. Not to mention, people who are burning dns are now conscious to not go over the limit you've decreased to 2.5k mid party
Just looked at the chat and holy crap. For a community event this seems to be ripping it apart instead of bringing people together đ
