Unfortunately based on the story pass, I think the community is to blame for that for using the wrong terminology is discussing this event. "Story pass" was never mentioned in the announcement thread; what was mentioned was a "story quest" (a singular task) for furni box drops. Despite this, almost everyone I saw in Campus and Pub discussing it was exclusively using the term story pass. I'm sorry you were misled, but this part I don't believe is ATA's fault.
I had similar sentiments about exclusivity of being an older player & having been around to get avis from bags/shards that we all thought would never drop again when rereleases began. We all spent money back then thinking it was now or never & it was cool to see older avis. they were actually worth something because you were active when they first came out. I got told to stfu and cope by the community. Exclusivity is dead and gone, enabled by we the people. I know it's not quite the same but both things required monetary investments for something you thought was more special than it is now. this phone game doesnt care about you beyond the money you offer it🤷🏻♀️
Yall mentioned refunds were allowed but I’m given reasons after reasons just so you don’t have to refund the shards. If there was never intention to refund please don’t put it out just for the sake of it.

From the looks of the screenshots, Support is saying she didn’t buy the shards with ecs therefore she is not going to receive an ec refund. Which makes sense. Yet I’m not sure how they would issue a bento refunds for the shards, I’m not sure they can just take bentos out of people showcases like that and give them back to the person etc.
That seems like the default response without fully investigating. I know 2 people personally who sent me screenshots of them starting the quest 2-3 hours before any update was was made to the requirements. One of the individuals actually received a support message with a copy and paste response that included the other individuals IGN....
It’s been like 100/200+ for me and I have only gotten 1 box… but I’ve seen other with 6+ pieces of furni
Ngl the drop rates are still very much trash… I get you have a year to finish but at this rate I’ll just give up and go inactive again
