Hey all! Popping in today. It's my 26th birthday and I mostly logged in to change my age on my profile, but as always I find myself trying to catch up on everything PIMD that I've missed in my absence. How is everyone doing? Anything huge I've missed since approximately January of this year? Is forums still sort of a graveyard?
Well, well, we'll. (Thanks, autocorrect) Hello, Muschi. I came back a few weeks ago, maybe a month ago now, myself. We both missed out on the second dorm, but that's probably not very important to you. It's very nice to see you again. Yes, forums are still very much dead.
I was able to get the second dorm actually, during I believe Black Friday! Welcome back to you too though Wyatt. :3
What the heck. This is bull. My break was far too long. Last time I stop playing around Halloween (or after, I don't remember when)😔 I hope they bring it back on 4oJ
Lol I think I literally returned from a break on BF because I knew I didn't want to miss important shit.
You know what's weird? You can see all the players that are viewing forums, so you know they're actively ignoring threads.
On the home page of forums, there's a section titled "Members Online Now." You can click that title and view which individual threads/posts they're viewing, too. You can also go to the Menu on the upper left, select the dropdown next to "Members," and select the online option there. This is only accessible if viewing forums through the app as it requires you to be logged in to view member activity.
That's fair. There's lots of cool things to see in the new forums that we didn't have in old ones, like you can enable post notifs for specific users and such! You just gotta dig around a bit. I played around with it so much when this update first came out lol.
At this point i dont even remember old forums. But i remember at some point i said i like old forums better then now forums. So idk
It was definitely a much simpler interface, so in many ways it was easier to use for a lot of people.
As do, I think, a lot of the more casual forum users. I think the web version of this is a lot easier to navigate because things are more sort of spread out and that might help get more people to use it, but unfortunately only mods and devs can log in to the site there. ;(
