I play American truck simulator. Ive learnt after months of playing that in america its lrgal to turn right at a red light if its clear to go. But theres some times im getting fines for idk what coz how i drive is completely legal here. In nz we have whats called the road code. It says all the rules n laws of the road with pictures to show what it means. Does that exist for americas ones snd is it free to see? This shit costing me $760 per fine n it fuckn expensive when im tryna save for another truck 😂 n it costing fuckn $300+ per trip in gas
The right turn on red varies by state actually. Normally, you can turn right on a red light if there’s no sign specifically saying “No Turn on Red” or if you do not have a light specifically for signaling it’s time to turn (typically it’s an arrow with the same red, yellow, green principle). Some states though, do not allow right turns on red at all or only at certain times of the day. There’s a road/driver manual for each state as a result, although there are basic similarities across the nation like signs and such. It should be free to see these manuals, but I don’t know what “city” your game takes place in. If the “city” has a name or is in a specific state, then I’d Google the driving laws for the state the city is in.
I agree it is a bit weird, the smallest differences are why people get ticketed often. For example, in Texas we allow people to drive 5-10 over speed limit without any issues; however, in Florida, if you’re more than 4-5 over it’s a ticket.
Yehh i started using the cruise control to keep to the speeds now but i fuckn hate it when it goes from 65 to 35 with no warning. Alsooo is it a thing in america or is ai in this game just fuckd. The other cars n trucks dont get up to speed when coming onto a highway n merge like a zip....they just full stop n wait for there to be no other cars or trucks in the lane
Oof I hate that, on the way to my college campus the limits go from 70 to 55 in the span of a mile. The merging thing is a bit weird in the US, but the basics is that the car already on the Highway lane does not need to slow down at all despite there being a car in the merging lane. As such, when traffic is kinda heavy, people really do have to come to a full stop until there’s a gap or a nice person lets them enter the Highway. I kinda slam on the gas if I judge there’s fair enough distance, carefully of course, but sometimes I’ve had to slow down to an almost stop
Thats fuckd. Traffic flows better if nerge like a zip n the traffic on the highway already duznt need to slow down if they going faster they keep going n the person merging just goes in behind them. The gap you ment to leave for safe stopping distance is big enuf for a car to merge into safely
Ok another thing.....when going around a corner and it has a sign that says like how the road is and say it says 45 on it. Is it law that you have to slow down to that or is it recommend speed? Here them signs are just recommend speed but you don't actul have to go that slow can safely go a bit faster if are a experienced driver. But on this had some dumb fuck brake on the corner down to that 45 some times to 30 then ended up slow as fuck to berly 20 coz had fuck all speed to get up the hill and it was a 55 zone
Yellow signs are just reccomend speeds for safety. I don't think anybody actually goes that slow on those roads, it's more of just a heads up to be careful the road's about to get twisty.
iight sweet so the ai's are just stupid then. Thats good to know at least. Was a funny as fuck 1 that was a car went to go flying past me n but slammed into a cop suv stopped in the middle of the road coz a accident n the cop car went propr flying 😂😂 almost over the center barrier
