Silence is not going against the idea of course, but you can’t say that silence is automatically agreeing and supporting an idea. Also, name calling and putting down others for not having the confidence or ability to stand up for themselves isn’t something I think is valid. Even if you choose to stand up to hate speech it can still continue. Don’t come at one person for not stopping an issue that is a societal problem.

People are tempted to commit all sorts of sins from adultey to homosexuality and even murder. Weather you give into that temptation or not determines a lot about a person. Pretty sure thats a generalisation. Just because you might have encourted angry American Christians who have those believes doesn’t mean all Americans think that way.
