okay so the coronavirus has brought out all of the conspiracy theorist & I wanted to know you guys opinion on this martial law thing. I’m seeing tons of people claim this is the beginning of martial law & that the head honchos of the world have been planing this & this is why they’re shutting everything down and before we know it they will start quarantining everyone , feeding us what they want us to eat, and even microchip us😂😂😂😂 Personally I don’t think that’s the case. For one this isn’t the first virus that’s circulated like this I don’t remember the Ebola virus being this big (I was in elementary lmao) but I also don’t think it was classified as a pandemic? I think everyone is just taking the necessary precautions to slow down the spread of the virus. America is waaaaay behind but I don’t think we’re approaching martial law lol what do you guys think?
This is classified as a pandemic. Ebola was only an issue if you lived in West Africa, and I can't recall if that was an epidemic or just an outbreak and I don't feel like googling it. The earliest I can vaguely remember is H1N1 (aka swine flu) in 2009 and I only remember getting the vaccine for it. I don't think it's the beginning of martial law though. People are being ridiculous. Yes, it is more serious than H1N1 and affects more people than ebola. But the world isn't plunging into anarchy. And it likely won't.
Yes they’re definitely being rediciculous😂😂 most of the people who are saying martial law is going to happen is saying that the media is trying to scare us about the virus but I think these martial law conspirisist are scaring themselves lol
I've heard about people theorizing about bio-weapons, and that the Corona Virus was actually man-made and there was a leak in the labs in Wuhan.
Tbh I’m not gonna lie it’s 2020 I know for a fact these scientist can make deadly diseases! I heard a theory that China released it for population control
It's the same people that were pissing themselves over the 2012 Mayan calendar thing, and, if they were alive for the turn of the century, freaking out over Y2K. When COVID-19 is a thing of the distant past, the tin-foil-hatists will move on to the next imminent doomsday. As long as they ain't panic buying all the fucking toilet paper (because they need to shit so much?), I don't pay them too much mind other than to laugh at.
I definitely do think the idea of bio-engineering diseases is a worry, but I don't think that this is an example of it. It's widely accepted that COVID-19 began in a wet market, similar to the other semi-recent coronavirus outbreak in the early 2000s known as SARS. Here's a good video that explains it quite well:
For reference, the CDC estimated that up to 570,000 people died worldwide from H1N1 during the first year the virus circulated. In the United States from 2009 to 2010, the CDC estimated that between 43.3 and 89.3 million people were infected, between 195,086 and 402,719 were hospitalized and between 8,868 and 18,306 people died during the H1N1 pandemic. With a significant number of deaths from the H1N1 pandemic, and with COVID-19 having a significantly higher death rate only time will tell.. the only reason why it has spread so fast is because people have continuously ignored the way this disease spreads. They have been going out and living like it's not gonna happen to them. Only when things got serious, they started hoarding items and all that crazy stuff. It honestly all comes down to society.. nobody went as crazy back when H1N1 or Ebola hit in the previous years. Yes, the mortality rate for COVID 19 is higher (3%) than that of H1N1 (1%).. but if they would've followed protocols set by their governments (ie Iran and Italy) an outbreak in those countries could've been prevented.
All facts & Americans aren’t doing that great either. I saw a video of people at spring break in Miami partying like large packed crowds & most of the businesses in my town are still open & we have 136 cases! I feel like they’re not taking it seriously at all tbh
I don't we will get to the point of Martial law ..🤷🤦 I think it's important to keep informed, not believe everything you hear/ read.. but to take precautions to stay safe / healthy..
Frankly, I trust the guy... Now I know what you're all going to say! Martial law is bad! I saw it in some scary sci-fi movie and the people were sad, there was a lock down, checkpoints, the military, kids getting caned in school, yada yada yada! But the real slim Shady wouldn't do that. I know him, okay? He touched my hand once. Now onto the virus: we already have some laws about it. We can't leave our homes without a proper reason. If we don't practice social distancing we can be arrested. The military may not be involved yet but the police are doing an awful lot to keep us contained and if we were to really push them, calling the military may be necessary and may not be too drastic a call. But are we going to push? Do we really want the right to fuck this shit up for society and spread this terrible disease? Fuck no. And as long as we keep this message up, we don't have to be executed by the military. As long as we keep living in fear, our nightmares will actually go away! That basically never happens but it happens with viral contagions! There are several detrimental aspects to this Pandemic: 1) Old people and immuno compromised people are dying 2) Healthy people who catch it get pneumonia (liquid filling your lungs and making breathing painful), and get intubated and are basically painful potatoes. 3) People are out of work. Economy is fucked. The financial collapse of the Dow Jones looks worse than the Great Depression of the 1920's. 4) People are isolated, deprived of Vitamin D and social contact leading to potential mental health issues as well as weakened skeletal structure (rickets). 5) The news is saturated with Covid-19 news and sometimes it seems like nothing else is happening but IDubbs is a cuck, Leafy is back on Youtube, Economies are going fucky. Geopolitics is messed. Saudi Arabia are pumping all the oil despite its price plummeting around the globe, and despite other nations agreeing to amicably stop. I DON'T ACTUALLY KNOW WHAT ELSE BECAUSE I FIND IT SO HARS TO FOLLOW THE NEWS WHEN ALL THE FRONT PAGES ARE COVID-19 THIS AND COVID-19 THAT!! What's good? 1) Extroverts are learning to enjoy themselves 2) Production of online media, artistic expression, and cultural development are ramped up by peoples' inability to work 3) Nature is having a breather. 4) MEMES ARE BEING PRODUCED BY THE BUCKETFUL! People are literally doing the things they always put off doing. 5) People have time to reflect on their emotional state and the state of their lives 6) People have more time with their pets and family 7) People are isolating and keeping safe from the virus, preventing its growth 8) A vaccine is being developed. Anti-vaxxers will be defeated. 9) We have a new, exciting, relatable way of life to talk to eachother about facilitating conversations 10) Bill Gates has provided Google employees with some time to replace the batteries in the birds 11) Many skeptics and experts have disproved the bioweapon theory. We're all fucked including China. 12) Lots of fresh personalities on Tinder and online. 13) We can see how well our society can perform remotely/virtually (from work to education to online delivery systems) 14) We're learning more about pandemics, involving AI to help us, and becoming more prepared for the next one even though we were warned about this one in 2015. 15) Cultures are evolving new greetings and practices that can benefit hygeine. 16) We're on track for the Boogaloo to start this year. I mean, really. Things are ehhhh. As an introvert it's chill to be inside. I had a resolution this year to socialize more which could have been halted but there's always google hangouts, fb messenger, tinder, text, emails, social distancing, etc. So there are ways to keep social, keep your Vitamin D up, etc. The toughest pickle seems to be the popped economic bubble, but better it happen now than be allowed to continue inflating and be popped later? I think it's stupid to criticize politicians for having or dealing with these recessions because the alternative is knowingly patting them on the back for sitting on some lie and allowing the lie to fester and grow, and to prolong and exacerbate a worse downfall. Virus is fun. Interesting. Lit. Be scared but also be hopeful. Take care of yourself and your beighbours.
