At first I thought this story was fake because we all know homeschooled children don’t have nice asses, dance skills, or friends but it turns out I was wrong. This story is in fact true. 17-year-old girl high school senior Clare Ettinger, 17, was kicked out of her Richmond, VA home school prom because “horny dads” couldn’t stop staring at her short dress and badass dance moves. Upon entering the prom, a chaperone had voiced her concerns about Clare’s dress but no action was taken until she hit the dance floor and started to let loose. Clare explains that she and her friends were just ”swaying with the music and talking and enjoying ourselves” but the original chaperone who had complained about Clare’s dress pulled her aside to tell her that some of the dads felt her dancing was “too provocative” and liable to cause “impure thoughts.” She was kicked out of the dance, and her friends decided to go with her. Clare claims the group of dads were “ogling and talking amongst themselves” while watching her dance from a balcony above the dance floor. She reportedly said: “I’m not responsible for some perverted 45-year-old dad lusting after me because I have a sparkly dress on and a big ass for a teenager.” The dance organizers said they would refund the girl’s tickets for leaving, but even though she got a refund she’s still clearly upset. Clare took the issue to the Richmond high school prom Facebook page (which has since been taken down by the administration). Her public posts included “refund my group as they verbally promised to do, and issue an apology for kicking me out of my senior prom because their husbands felt as though my body was something they had a right to control.” [Insert old fat ladyman person WAT meme here] What do you think about this? If anything, the dads should be the ones who should be kicked out for lusting over a 17 year old. Is it her fault they cant control their whoremones?
It's the culture people are raised in to believe that women should do this and that because they can provoke certain things out of men. But this kind of thinking releases men of responsibility and it makes them think that it's okay to have lewd thoughts like that because society dictates that it's in their nature. I think that's a load of bull. A man's gotta take responsibility for his own thoughts and actions and never blame his failures on other people.
It really deps on what she did have on some schools are strict about it tbh I know my high school was. But at the same point no one should be pushed to that point bcuz a grown man can't keep himself in check. Tbh I would even question the fathers on the der reactions even on other said things. Hell I feel bad for the wifes. Kicked from her senior prom should of never happened it's not like she can experience that again. I do think in my hs they gave ppl the option to go home or the bathroom just to fix things to be more appropriate. Bcuz like it or not it's a school related event. o.o pic of what she had on might of helped but eh still kinda in between. They should of approach the situation better. I do agree a gd bit with Wolf tho.
Two things first that's not even that provocative of a dress second why are dads looking at a minor teen like that? Hello you might as well be looking st your daughter...ugh sickos
Nope her dress is fine hell I've seen worse and it even meets the dress codes that dress or skirts must atleast be at finger tip length. Really I know we put an age thing on it but girls can very well look like women at her age. And eh sorry to be blunt but if a man sees that something looks gd he will look (just my opinion). BUT seeing as it is a dance for teens the fathers should of carried themselves more respectfully. The sideways comments shouldn't of happened and they sure of hell should of never kicked her out. They should of talked to the fathers and if they couldn't act grown and deal with being around a teen then they should of been the ones told to leave. Simply put. I agree school deffinetly handled this wrong. And when did this happen? I live in northern Virginia but I don't remember if this is old or not but I think I've read about it before.....
That's stupid ,_, it reminds me of our dress code, girls aren't allowed to wear yoga pants or leggings unless their asses are covered because it causes a 'distraction' for boys
I agree with OP. Beans, beans, are good for your heart. The more you eat, you fart. LOL, I had to say that. Carry on.
This just happened but a few yrs ago we had another issue like this before. Tbh it caused so much trouble that parents even went to the school board over it. Lmao they ended up in an agreement to have another dance so ppl would calm down. Really think it was gonna go to court til school board gave another dance lol
