Your opinion? pt. 5 (i think)

Discussion in 'Off Topic' started by ltachi, Mar 25, 2014.

  1. What's your opinion on gender equality?
Are there or should there be restrictions?

Why do so many women want equality but then when they get treated the same they say "you cant do this and that cuz I'm a woman"?

What about jobs? Why dont women get paid as much for doing as much? At least in better paying jobs cuz at McDonalds and crap they get paid the same. But still.

What about hitting women? Have you seen those chicks that scrap like men? I say if you hit like a man you gon get your ass whooped like a man.

Whats your opinion on all this?

  2. Make me a sandwich.

    ^ my opinion.

  3. If a big girl starts boxing me like man I'll either run away or pull her hair.

  4. Agree in all of it, i wouldnt mind getting hit by a man, if im in the wrong it's nature to do so

  5. Family? a man hits you're brother you want to kill that person where he stands a sister you want to kill that man where he stands.so to hit a woman and not get one back isn't unheard of I'd say this my girl say she wanted to go out but I told her plenty of times I want them in that t-shirt she's either going to where and get and get punch if you see a woman with a man's t-shirt on what would you think abuse physical violence what if she ripped it off ran to you asking for help saying he was physically speaking and beating her daily

  6.  Clearly she wants to fight with a man I say show her how to. This isn't me condoling violence simply just saying you gonna knuckle up with a man be willing to take the hits back ? unless she's a ghetto girl cause if a ghetto hits u it's best not to even hit back unless u want the whole block to beat ur ass cause we all know that one obnoxious ghetto chick lmao I'm out

  7. Well if people does same job they should get paid same. And I'm against all kind of violences Jopo. But then I realize I don't wanna be part of the society.

  8. My opinion is that a girl shouldn't be hit and neither should guys even if someone wants revenge for something hurting someone else

  9.  someone hit me. I would beat that ass

  10. I don't think it's acceptable for a women to hit a man, or vise versa. I think women and men should be paid the same.

  11. OH! And that glass ceiling should be broken. I'd LOVE to have a "mans" job without getting called the B word for it. Cause girls in dominant roles are stereotyped as that. So lame.

  12. "Why do so many women want equality but then when they get treated the same they say "you cant do this and that cuz I'm a woman"?"

    That's a straw man.

First, define what you mean by "treated the same," and then find actual women or cases that reflect this paragraph. Otherwise, it's total opinion and quite sexist as well.

  13. If someone wants to punch me, they can deal with a lawyer on their ass. I don't tolerate that sort of nonsense. 

As for money, if I'm working a job that requires the same amount of effort regardless of whether a person is male or female, I'm going to demand equal pay. Especially since I'm not getting married, and I'm going to be taking care of myself.

I don't play the, "I'm a woman, you can't do that" card. This isn't 1850. Anyone can do whatever they want, so long as it's legal.

  14. Q: "How old are you?" R:" Wow thats so rude you dont ever ask a woman her age"

Why the fuck not it's just a simple question

  15.  isn't this Jopos thing? But anyways...

I think it isn't fair for women but it's the 21st
century and there should be some change.

Women and men are different but if they, the government, do decide to change something, the world would be viewed differently.

For examples, riots in tennis would develop. Many women players, such as Serena Williams and Venus Williams, have wanted to play against men. Men are physically stronger than woman so this won't happen. If something changed with women, such as an equal pay as men, these two women would want to demand they play against men.

Also, when we have Hillary Clinton as president, she will make this change.

  16. Well......... this is an opinion thread soooo... yeah. Opinions.

  17. I am Jopo, Kristi.

However in sports such as Tennis I dont think strength has as much to do with it as skill does

  18. Thats not a question of equality.  That's a question of vanity. Women don't like to answer that unless absolutely necessary. Anything older than 30 is considered unattractive from what I've heard. 

  19. I think we're still struggling to get past typical assigned gender roles, ie. women should be the homemakers, and be sweet and docile; men should be the breadwinners, and be strong and unemotional.

But we've globalised, and the world is a tiny place now, with international relations and technologies leading the way.. We should be more accepting of individuals rather than gender stereotyping.

I still don't see true equality in the work place happening any time soon, and I agree with Pickles, a strong and independent, career minded woman will always be seen as a threat. Both to men AND women 

As for violence, I'm probably gonna cop a lot of flack for this, but I think it's a reaction to all this gender stereotyping, particularly in men. They're expected to act a certain way, be strong, not show emotion, and that pressure builds up to boiling point. I don't condone violence in any way, but I think we, as society, shape people this way..

  20. Oh I thought you were Wally  and women are much more skilled than men in tennis ?
