Ima maybe get a doggo in a few months or so. Depends how things go. Dont know if doggo or pupper yet. Tell me what breeds you think are good. Will be my 1st one. Im in a house. Not fully fenced off tho but loads of space. At some point will move more into the town which will have fully fenced yard but smaller. No high maintenance breeds coz executive dysfunction. Dont wanna be having to brush a dog out of the dog 2-3 times a day or whatever. So shorter hair is best. Not tiny breeds as well
They not llowed in puppy school or anything like that either coz of what breed they are. Alot harder to do anything with them
It’s the owner, not the breed. Our pits are great. One is terrified of storms, and the other gets anxious when voices are raised due to PTSD. We can’t change what she had to go through before we adopted her.
Keep in mind, bigger dogs tend to have hip problems. I believe they’re also very prone to ear infections (ours had it, had to be cleaned like every other day).
Yehh im aware. But pittys have even more costs and things involved coz of it that other breeds dont have. I need something on the easy side. I cant afford a $800 fine just coz i got distracted and forgot to put a muzzle on them or whatever
I was set on a frenchie for ages. Until i checked for their price to see if it had changed from when i 1st asked. 3k was expensive but manageable if i was in regular work. But im not fuckn paying 5.5k for a dog thats just insane. Dont know what breed i want now. I like huskys but they to high maintenance i wouldnt be able to look after them proply
How about like a Labrador, Great Dane, boxer, Doberman, or a hound dog. Some of them drool a lot, and bigger dog breeds usually have hip problems. Idk. No matter what there’ll be something you don’t like that you’ll have to endure you know?
I can deal with mess. Just dont want a high maintenance dog coz i wont be able to look after them proply. Like a husky that sheds so much you get a entire dog out of them every day. I dont mind taking them to the groomers every now and then but dont wanna have to do it every week
Not sure if great dane would be ok. Coz im short 😂 i met a 8 month puppy 1 once and even that was like getting close to chest height on me even just on all 4s. Bout half way between my chest and waist
We have a Jack Russell Terrier mixed with Golden Retriever so he's a bit bigger than other Terriers we've had. Short, although coarse, fur, and he looks cute in shirts if you're into that. Ours wasn't able to learn tricks until later because he almost died of parvo early on and was basically scarred, but if yours is healthy, it'll be easy to train to sit and such. Ours knows when it's bedtime and will stare at you until you go to bed. That's my two cents 🤷🏻♀️ We've had other terriers that were smaller, so maybe I'm biased for them cute, smart little babies
Not really into dressing animals. Would put a dog jacket on them if its raining but thats about it. Also show your doggo
Oh also cant be a 1 person only kinda dog coz im always gonna be living with at least 1 other person. Dont know if its breed related or how they are raised related. But yehh
I have a Jack Russell & Fox Terrier mix. He likes to run 20 miles a day. Would not recommend unless you also like running 20 miles a day.
Oh yehh nahh doesnt matter if they pick favorites. Just needs to be friendly towards multiple people and not just protect 1 person and fight off the rest
