._. Greek mythology... No capital 'G' for gods or goddesses because they're plural. .-. I felt a bit adventury. .-. I have no idea why in the world I wrote this, I will most likely feel regret, and I just put a bunch of Greek spirit deity names here. ._. ------ "Clotho, Lachesis, Atropos?" The name of the fates roll of your tongue as you lean sheepishly on the doorway, glancing at the three sisters. Clotho's dishelved black hair is tied up in a messy bun. Her eyes are glued to the spinner, staring intently as she weaves the thread of fate. Lachesis' eyes are glued onto a single strand, measuring it precisely. Atropos glances at you, smiling merrily as she cuts one of the threads, unfazed of the fact she sent another soul to Hades, god of the underworld. "Well, well well... Clotho, Lachesis, look at our guest..." The eyes belonging to both sisters roll over to look at you, staring at you intently as though they're casting judgement. "What can we do for you today..." The fates speak in unison. Lachesis' voice is spoken in monotone, the only emotion you get out of her is curiosity. Clotho's voice is unusually chiper and light, laced with a sense of false sweetness. Atropos, however, has a mischeivous tone to hers', sending chills down your spine. Waving off them off, the two go back to work as she advances to you, her footsteps almost silent. "Is Eros here?" The mention of their brother's name makes them cringe. "Why do you need him?" "Personal business." You wave your hand in mockery of Atropos, earning you a glare from her, a curious glance from Lachesis, and a quick look from Clothos. "Oh?" Atropos' lips are pursed, the fingers clenching on the scissors gently then firmly. "He's in delivering a message." You nod your head, ever so slowly, and saunter out of the room, leaving an irritated Atropos alone with the two. ---- "Athena?" "What do you want?" Your eyes scan the image before you, the goddess of wisdom standing still, a bow and arrow in her hands as she shoots a target; an elk. "I want to know where Eros is." "You? *scoff* He's most likely hanging out in a bar with Dionysus, getting intoxicated." "Atropos said he was delivering a message." Her eyebrow arches as she looks at you in disbelief. You give her a look of your own, before she drops the archery tools and walks over to you, her hips swaying. "Oh? And do you really expect me to know where that hoodlum is?" "You're the goddess of wisdom..." She scoffs another time before looking behind her shoulders, then turning to you. "What's in it for me?" "I won't tell Priapus that you've been in her garden shooting her precious animals again." Her eyes widen in realization before narrowing them into slits, seething in rage. "Now now, you're acting like a vain Aphrodite." Her nostrils flare before you look at her intently, telling her with your eyes that you've no time to waste. "Fine. Eros is busy with Pheme." "Pheme...? Wasn't he delivering a message?" "You really are slow. Eros has already visited Persephone... There's no more messages to send." "Wasn't it a message for the Oneiroi?" "There's a lot you do not know, you fool. One is that Eros bribed Pheme into tricking everybody to believe he was with Epiales and Morpheus." "Son of a..." Athena's lips are curved into a smile, one you recognize oh so crucially well. Your heels turn as you rush out of the garden, bumping into Philophrosyne on the way. "Friend! How good to see you—" You accidentally brush past her, causing her to gasp. "Sorry! Say hello to your sisters for me!" --- "CHARON!" You rush to the elderly man, taking his shaking arm and forcing a golden coin into his open palm. "You! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!" "Take me to Persephone!" The old man grumbles before grabbing the oar firmly, muttering something incoherent before pushing off the shore. You shield your eyes against the sight of souls and mutilated beings, the pungent smell of hell reeking. Your sense of smell betrays you as you cough a few times, your eyes watery as the boat crosses the river of Styx. Charon curiously glances at you and smiles in delight as you gasp for a few breaths of air, obviously enjoying your pain. ----- "Hades?" You lean against the wall again, silently begging that the immortal was in a good mood. "You! What are you doing here?!" The animosity the gods emit towards you is irritating, the least to say. Persephone coyly slides over to the side of the throne, emerging from the back. She immediately brightens when she sees you. "Look at you! It's been nearly a decade since I've seen you! What can I do for you?" Hades looks speechless as Persephone runs over and gives you a hug. "Did Eros send you something?" "Oh, it was from Hephaestus. I ordered a necklace to be made from the finest material on Olympus—" "That's nice. Is Eros there?" "Oh, he left a few minutes ago. Something about meeting up with Pheme in the local bar or something... You need anything from him?" "Just a small errand... THANK YOU!" You run out of the room, leaving two dazed gods looking at eachother. ---- You run into the local bar, looking at the bartender with narrowed eyes. "You!" "YOU!" You could see Eros there, standing with Pheme as they chatted and made gossip. You were oh so sure that they were talking about YOUR secret when the bartender decided to flip a counter over. "GET OUT OF MY BAR!" "... No." You immediately ran to Eros, grabbing him to the collar the dragging him out with Pheme leaning on the table, smirking, writing on her notepad. ----- "What the hell was that for?!" "You bastard! I ran EVERYWHERE to look for you! Damn, you sly cheat! Don't tell me you told everybody!" "ABOUT WHAT?" Then it struck you. Atropos was playing you all along. "ATROPOS!" ---- Honestly, I didn't bother with the end and I just wanted to doa fanfic about Greek mythology. Teehee.
