What's the Point of Rioting??

Discussion in 'Off Topic' started by Matt, Nov 25, 2014.

  1. All it does is make things worse. There is no point in doing it, and it's just plain wrong. So why in the world would people ever choose to do it? Why vandalize innocent places, burn buildings, and commit more and more crimes?? Why???

    Any opinions on this?

  2. Thank you spit 

  3. It's the scumbags that riot. Let's act like lunatics to get what we want right? That always works

  4. KINDA LIKE PIMD? RESIGN AS MODS, MAKE A BUNCHA SPAMY THREADS AND SUCH AND LETS ALL GET FORUM BANNED MAYBE THAT WAY WE GET IT OUR WAY LYKE BURGER KING OR NAHHH?

  5. Isnt that right matt

  6. Sometimes people think thats the only way to get their point across. Others use it as an excuse to steal and get that flat screen tv they cant afford.

  7. To prove their point, isn't it? To show they're serious. To show they're not just half-assing everything.

Like how mods did their resigning threads or players that bid their goodbyes. There was no point, not even a single response from ATA, even after those long paragraphs. Didn't even create a dent on this relationship feature. But they still did it.

Kinda like how you voiced your opinion 'cause you have freedom of speech.

But eh, I'm bs-ing. Lmao. I don't agree with their doings involving civillans though. That's just dumb and unreasonable.

  8. Just a bunch of criminally insane maniacs running the streets, doing what comes naturally. Now when another young black man dies due to his own criminal actions, there will be more turmoil. It has to stop. I suggest all law abiding citizens arm yourselves, because when the stores are either secured or destroyed, they will come to your neighborhood.

  9. Because riots are the universal sign that you mean business.

  10. I think when someone's level of frustration rises to such a high level it becomes easy for people to snap. People don't riot over small things. Deep rooted oppression and unhappiness that hasn't been addressed are often the causes. Haven't you ever snapped over something that upsets you? Some people have larger problems to face

  11. The only intelligent statement on this thread so far

  12.
  13. It's such a complicated issue and I don't think the news media, and certainly not the social media, can depict a clear picture as to why it's happening. Rissa, I agree people are frustrated, but who is frustrated and what are they frustrated about? Those are important questions. Is it African-Americans feeling they've been dealt a great injustice from a potentially biased legal system? Is it the poverty-stricken acting out against the systemic urban plight of high unemployment, high crime rates, rising costs of living and the cycle of general hopelessness of any improvement? There are so many complex socio-economic components to the story I don't know if anyone can paint a true picture as to why what is happening is actually happening.

But I do know Michael Brown's family begged for non-violence no matter what the grand jury decided. And if the Brown family is not rioting, what right does anyone else have to do so?

  14. More violence in life is never the answer or resolution and will get people no where in life!

  15. There is a difference between protesting publicly and rioting.

  16. Its called democracy Matt riot is one way to express their intention in a violence way. I'm not saying rioting is good I'm just answering ur question?️
