The 499 is the floor furniture item! It costs 499 ec, hence the name lol. The 999 is the “wardrobe” piece. It’s the most expensive, 999ec, and one of the most rare. It’s between the desk and chair/plant.

They are furniture pieces one replaces the green underwear on your dorm floor it is called 499 because it cost 499EC to get unless you win or trade etc the 999 is the furniture that goes between your desk and plant it cost 999EC therefore people call it 999 .. There are names for each one so this is more universal pimd speak to say selling/trading/buying 499 or 999
