#VPDebate

Discussion in 'Off Topic' started by foodSTAMPS, Oct 5, 2016.

  1. Did you watch the 2016 Vice Presidential Debate tonight? I hope so, as this election is one of the most controversial in America's history.

I want to know, if you're an American who watched the Debate or you're not an American and watched the Debate (foreign opinion matters to us Americans), what you thought about the debate.

First, let me set some ground rules!
Do NOT go off topic with this. I mean for this thread to be a friendly "debate" of sorts, not a basket of insults and "no supports." The longer we can keep this thread from being derailed and reported, the longer we can have a more friendly discussion. If you aren't mature enough to have a VERY respectful conversation about politics, just don't comment.

    1. Which candidate do you believe won?

    2. What policy (yes, POLICY - not insult or false claim) do you think EACH candidate hit the biggest home run on?

    3. Republicans: Why are you voting for Trump vs. Clinton? Democrats: Why are you voting for Clinton vs. Trump? Non-citizens/Out of Country viewers: Who do you think you would vote for, solely based on the tonight's performances by the VP choices?

  2. 1. I think Pence won.

    2. Pence was spot on, in my opinion, with the immigration reform question. Unlike some of the others questions asked of him, he actually stayed on topic and answered the question with substance. Kaine was spot on with his answer to the question about police carrying a burden in America. He seemed to show a deep concern for the law and order that weighs heavily on the shoulders of our police forces.

    3. I'm a Republican and I 100% support Trump and his campaign to Make America Great Again. I don't like Donald Trump as a person, what with his racist comments and his disrespect of women and some of his comments towards Muslims, but I believe he is more honest and more dedicated to America than Hillary Clinton. Clinton has failed our military (Benghazi), backed ObamaCare, and called half of Trump supporters deplorable basement-dwellers.

  3. Who cares about America tho
    You're a bunch of duds
Your leader reflects on your nation

  4.
  5. These comments - immature comments - are exactly what I asked not to be posted.
If you can't keep it mature, please don't put your two cents in.

  6. So, tell me why Obama doesn't take his job seriously? In his 8-year term, he has caused havoc, by supporting and speaking on behalf of BLM (rather than ALL LIVES MATTER), enacting and creating ObamaCare (which is NOT affordable to families who live paycheck-to-paycheck), and supports Hillary Clinton and spoke on her behalf at her trial regarding the e-mails she had on a private server. Obama also knew about the private server, which he sent e-mails to. Tell me why he doesn't take his job seriously, if it's such a SERIOUS job.

  7. Your country is in like a 16T debt m8
You should take any dvp's you get

  8. It's actually in 19T worth of debt, that started with Bill Clinton and has only gotten worse since Bush and Obama.
When our government shuts down because they cannot come to a mutual agreement regarding the debt ceiling, somebody who knows about money - GENERATING MONEY - is called for.

  9. Donald Trump is not a serious political figure who commands respect. He’s a joke, a bad one at that, who hosts a television show and builds crappy hotels and ugly golf courses. He’s the punchline of the world, quite literally, as he was once the honorary punching bag of a celebrity roast. He has no shame and even less professionalism. Donald Trump as president makes the whole of America look like a joke.

  10. But you failed to answer my earlier question.
If the job of President is SUCH A SERIOUS one, why is Obama not taking it seriously? Why hasn't he taken it seriously at all during his 8 year term?

  11. What makes you think he didn't do his job seriously? You think Donald Trump could do it better? Besides being the only president to issue reform on same sex marriage, create the affordable healthcare act forbidding insurance agencies to deny people because of age or condition, reduced the unemployment rate the the lowest its been in over 11 years, gas prices are at an all time low…he’s done all of this while also avoiding scandal.

  12. Many Republicans are seal-clapping in anticipation that a religious conservative will actually get to have his views forced upon America. For the rest of us, however, this is a scary prospect. Trump believes marriage to be between one man and one woman, which means he’s openly bigoted against the LGBT community and the rights of same-sex couples. Donald Trump as president sends America’s progress back 50 years 

  13. I'm not in the USA but I hope trump wins just so it destroys America just that little bit more :)

  14. If that happens I'll be moving to Canada xD

  15. First of all for the intelligent audience they would note that Hillary won and is more suited to the role. That said, trumps popularity is not about him so much, but a symptom of ppl having enough of the political system and the tiredness of being bent over because they the politicians make poor decisions or are basically corrupt. This is not just an American problem, here in Australia we have imbeciles getting into parliament as well. Democracy is broken.

  16. Lmao,

  17. Let's keep only pimd politics in game.

The government ones really don't have any bearing in here.

    There's my two pesos

  18. [IMG]

Sorry, Hw was like the antichrist, that's how awful Trump is...

And about the debate, I will just say, how sad is it when both vp candidates seem like better choices than their counterparts, and I will say Pence did a good job , but Kaine did what he wanted, just to hammer away all the crap Trump has said ..Kaine just took one for team imho

  19. We will take as much as the world down with us m8

  20. Who cares if two gay dudes/females want to get married? problem is that the government should not even be involved in marriage m8 like they did when the Christian baker refused to bake a cake for da gay couple. Rlly m8? When it comes down to religion nobody wants it to be forced on them but now ppl gotta force their lgbt stuff on them? Hypocrites at its finest. But that's off topic so meh
