Hello guys, I'm Ale. I love coming here to fan fiction because i like reading your stories. I dont write any stories because i am simply not creative enough but i do read and i do know when a story is good. By 'good' i mean lots of details, that you can almost 'see' what thr author is writng. Well lately i have read some very bad stories. So here are some tips : When you are going to use quotations "..." you HAVE to ident. Meaning you cant have one paragraph with a lots of people talking. When you are going to change a character talking you move on to the next paragraph and so on. People use a lot of details, so that the reader can actually see what you mean to say. since i dont write you're probably wondering why am i even bothered? Well that's because i know when a story is good because i read ALOT and i see it all the time But off course this thread wasnt for all of you. There are some pretty amazing writers here. I think we know grammar mistakes, thanks. Don't need to critisize the hard working writers. Like you havn't even written a story why critisize others then?
Like i said i dont write because of lack of imagination. But i do know what a good piece of literature is. So if you feel somewhat offended i apoligize i didnt mean to offend anyone. I am just trying to help those who need it. They should be thankful not offended or mad. And if they are mad then they are ignorant and have no dicipline. Good luck to you all and you're writing. Alright guys and girls, lay off the OP. She was just stating her opinion and giving her critique on Fan Fiction writers. You people don't need to bash her, she was just stating her opinion and attempting to give advice. We ARE aloud to do that if any of you haven't noticed. I personally found that this helped me a tad bit. In my stories I forget to indent when people are talking (usually I accidently do it because the spacing on forums is wierd...) so I thank the Original Poster (OP) for typing this up. Thank you for the critique and don't let the judgmental people bring you down... Also to the OP make sure you check your spelling on a few words haha, it gives some people the wrong idea of the thread for some reason.
Germany may not be in America but I know my geography. stfu And I don't care about critism I just want people to like my stories how they are.
Its not about whi agreed with u. I know this will sound sorta mean but... I supoort you and I don't want you to hate me. ---- Please stop acting like we're all hating on your stories by telling you you can improve it. We don't. We wanna help and you shouldn't tell us to either gtfo or something. Just because of critism? You should be thankful. That's how you progress as a succesful writer. Be glad. The more you learn the more success. So grow up and become what you want to be. A writer. A true writer will accept any critism and appreciate it. The greatest writers have recieved the best and worst criticism you can imagine. Authors like Dan Brown, James Patterson, J.K Rowling some of the best known authors are given crap talk every single day. It strives them and makes them write even better. If you don't expect crap talk DONT write. You will always have that one person bashing you and pushing you forward. Bashing and criticism is part of writing and we all need to understand that.
