  1. Ok this was at least of a little interest to me because this kid that got hit a few hours ago goes to my school and is in my grade. He got hit by a gigantic bus which was speeding and ran a red light. He survived the crash and was sent to the hospital but is already out of the hospital. Has anyone else seen or heard about this? This video is on the Internet. It is amazing that he survived.

  2. Would have been more believable if you hadn't said "this kid in my grade." once you graduate high school, you don't have grade levels. You have years.

  3. It also happened on an intersection that I walk across a few times each week. To describe the event that was taking place, there was a Foam Sword Fight which is a yearly tradition done on the last day of class for UT students. Students line up on Guadalupe street on both sides with foam swords. There is a crosswalk connecting the university to the university co-op store. This is not a traffic intersection, rather a part of the street where there are traffic lights placed to allow students to use the crosswalk. You aren't supposed to use the crosswalk until the sign lights up because it's a main road. When the walking light comes up, students go to the center and fight on the crosswalk with their foam swords. The student that got hit charged in before the crosswalk light lit up but the bus did run the light. The foam sword fight has many flaws certainly and the dangerous nature of it should have been foreseen.
