A harsh cold finger traces the rough outline, Of what used to be soft skin. As the finger finds a wet warm substance, You can almost feel the pain within. You search her skin for other wounds, But none seem to be found. Yet what you miss is quite upsetting: Her heart is torn, and on the ground. Look past the red ribbons on her arms, Push past the mouth of lies. Look past the swollen, heavy eyes lids, You will see she really tries. Who would have thought that such a beauty, Would cause herself such pain. But what we seem to miss is that, She's trying to be whole again.
