Hey guys, this is my first story, so be gentle and BUMPPPP Here goes nothing: ~~~~~ The deafening sounds of my mother's screams filled my ears. My sister and I were crying, not knowing what to do. How could I, a 10-year-old boy, know what to do when my dad has us all tied to chairs, trying to fight for our lives? I looked over to where my sweet, innocent mother was tied up. Blood trickled down her mouth. It was a matter of minutes before she would take her last breath. "How could you do this to me!?" my father raged. "I-I don't know-what you're talking-about," my mother stammered. "Don't play innocent with me, you wh0re!" he shouted. "I know you slept with him!" "I-I swear! I didn't!" she cried. My sister, Molly, was about to pass out from all of the things she was seeing. She was only 8. "So, should I make you suffer a slow, painful death, or let you watch your kids die?" he smirked. "P-Please," my mother said. "Kill me first." "Oh, but that wouldn't be any fun, now would it?" he continued smiling. He walked over to the chair that Molly was trapped in. He held the knife up to her chin, and she tried to fight back the tears. I didn't even hear her scream when he plunged the knife straight into her innocent little heart.
"MOLLY!!!!!!!!" I screamed until my face was red. "NO!!!!!!!!!!'" I sat up straight in the hospital bed. "Wait...was that a dream?" I said to myself aloud. I looked around me. The dainty smell of medicine surrounded me. I was in a hospital room. But why was I in the hospital? I was so lost in thought that I didn't even hear the nurse walk in. "Are you alright?" she asked fondly. "Wh-why am I in here?" I asked, scared of what she might say. "Y-you don't remember?," she asked shakily. "No," I trailed off. "W-well," she started. "You, your sister, and your mother....were, um, held captive in your house by your dad..." "Where are they!?" I almost screamed. "I need to see them!" "I-I'm afraid you can't," she said, shaking even more. "Why not!?" I cried. "They're....in a better place now," she said. So it was true. It wasn't a dream. It was real.
