Too much info: You ready? I got some wisdom teeth and a supernumerary tooth pulled last week. The left side of my face was perfectly fine, even with the extra wisdom tooth, however the right side of my face was poofy, so I looked like half of a chipmunk. I swear everyone on my social media networks were over in bundles at a time so I could show off my half chipmunked face. Anyway, my jaw was locked for the longest time..about three days, and I kept messing with the stitches from my supernumerary, because it was pushed out towards the inside of the rest of the teeth. Ready for the good part? I can finally open my mouth all of the way and eat real food, contrary to my appropriate diet of Apple sauce and freaking smoothie things that are impossible to make correctly. Here's the good part. I finally got this curved eyedropper thing that lets me put salt water in it so I can spray the food out of the holes where my wisdom teeth used to be. It's kind of funny because I just went to a place called the House of Omelets and I just got a steak and cheese omelet, which was really amazing and I totally recommend it. (Sponsor?) Aaaaand, I got home and decided to rinse my mouth holes with glorious salt water and you could see little tiny bits of food arise from the depths of pain and hell. However, I felt much relieved. Is it weird that I got enjoyment out of it? I mean it is totally hygienic and accepted, however not commonly talked about. I love you, eyedropper. This has been TMI with CJS. Peace off
I just read all of that.. I have discovered two things.. 1. I have no life and spend my time reading weird threads.. And 2. I have to get my wisdom teeth out and now I'm not so sure I want to. Thanks for that
I just felt the back of my mouth, where's my wisdom teeth? literally so many people I know just got their wisdom teeth pulled and they were eating apple sauce too
LOL Anya, clearly you had none. But in all seriousness when I got mine pulled they gave me too much of that sleeping medicine cause it goes by weight, and I didn't know my exact weight so I wrote down a higher number than I am so I wouldn't wake up during the middle of it. Anyways, I slept for an hour after my procedure when it's only suppose to be 5-10 mins. Somehow they managed to cut the side of my mouth and I was sore as shit. Days later I had bruises all over my cheeks and I ended up loosing my syringe to clean my teeth out. So I use to use a wet qtip and lodge it out which bled like crazy. When I look at where my wisdom teeth use to be I have weird bumps.
Damn dude. I mean you could sleep that long but you should've been cautioned to put some gauze between where your wisdom teeth were so you could soak up the blood. You must've woke up with a mouth and pillow full of blood if you were like me. Hope it healed correctly, that's freaky. They cut both sides of my mouth, not sure why, but that's where the stitches were. I healed dramatically fast so I'm assuming it was supposed to happen.. After all I have zero dental experiences.
When I had my wisdom teeth out, they knocked me out, when I woke up I started wailing like a banshee for my mother, and refused to calm down until they got her for me. I had everyone in the office panicking. I don't do well with Novocain and Anaesthesia. I bled for nearly 3 hours afterwards, and refused to eat anything but scrambled eggs for nearly a week after that. And the rest of that time I was passed out on Vicodin.
There was also a time where I had a throat biopsy and they had me knocked out with Anaesthesia and Novocain again. I was hooked up to a heart rate monitor, and my dad said that just before I woke up, the monitor flatlined and then started jumping like crazy, and I sat up and slammed my head really hard before I could start freaking out.
