There should be a mandatory quiz that people have to get a 100 on before being allowed to post on forums. It would first give general information on how to reset, how to appeal a silence, and what is classified as spamming (info on everything needed to pass the quiz). The picture thread should be stickied under off topic so people don't make it one every single day. You also shouldn't be allowed to post on forums asking why you got silenced or how to reset. This information should be covered in the quiz. Appealing a silence should be only done through support and anyone who passed the quiz should know how to do that. Mods should be able to temporarily forum ban (3 temp is perm) because there are too many spammers and it takes forever to get them banned. Then when mods lock the threads the spammer continues and it's just more lock threads. There should also be a limit to how many topics you can make in a day. What do you guys think? There's one picture thread a day, 10 silence posts a day (they should know to contact support and not complain on forums) and most of the forums is either spam or topics that shouldn't have been posted. What do you guys think? Anyone who understands pimd at least a little should be able to pass the quiz. This would cut down on spam a lot. Locking threads is also semi-stupid, mods should have the power to delete topics. (this will filter forums nicely)
So therefore posting "why was I silenced?" should be auto temporary ban and topic deleted once the mod sees it. I think it's acceptable to start banning more often if the quiz is implemented because it gives reason that they 'should have known' since they passed the quiz. Note that I am requesting temporary bans so it is additionally more acceptable. (and 3 temp is perm as stated above)
It will essentially be forum silencing. That way the mods don't have to wait to get unwanted members of the community out of forums.
Silencing on the game maybe should even be linked to forum silencing. As in if you are silenced in the game then you also cannot post on forums. If you are banned from forums then you cannot post on the game. It makes sense in that if you bypassed on the game then you will very likely bypass on forums so should just be silenced from both. If you are silenced and try to get on forums then it should send you to the general FAQ page with info on how to get unsilenced etc.

Wow I had no idea lol Certainly seems good. I'd say they should look at forums and find the top repeated topics and give general info on that and put it in the quiz. So pretty much what I stated earlier about silence/reset/picture thread and then additional stuff that they find that is also repeated which may be people asking how to post images or become a moderator.
Lol thank bad boy Tynos I think it should be extremely easy for someone who has played pimd at least a little Blizzy I said 100 because if someone misses a question like "what should you do when silenced?" then that person will probably post on forums. Maybe you are right and the req should be 85 or something but I think there should be certain questions that are mandatory to get right such as the silenced question.
We should also ask: Which is correct? You're proposals sound like a great plan! OR You're so good at writing effective proposals!
