The pain was unbearable. I kept pushing on. You can do this I thought. Only a few more hours till you can stop. I stretched and prepared myself for the next task. "Kingsley. On the floor" my coach said I jogged over to the blue and white floor. Taking my place in my starting position. He started my music and I flew. Layouts. Front aerials. Back handsprings. The beat of the music. This is what I loved. I practiced a near perfect routine. I finished and smiled. That was great. "You stepped out." "I know. I saw. Any other critique?" He shook his said no and smiled. I'd never done it that well before. Perfect timing too. I had one month to get everything clean and polished before the big meet. I couldn't wait. "Run it one more time to make sure it wasn't a fluke." My Coach Said. Ugh. Alright. I took my place again and the music started. I did it just the same as I had before. Stepping out in the same exact spot. I cursed under my breath at the end of the routine. This was crunch time. I couldn't make any rookie mistakes.
