~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ Ayana Boten giggled lightly as she swung herself around in a circle. Her hands inter locked with another's, as they went around in a circle happily. Her rosy pink cheeks and crystal hazel eyes glittering with mischief. It was officially her best day ever. No dark cloud in the sky, the gentle wind breezes brushing back their hair. The sun seemed to embrace their smiles, with one of its on in return. The cool green grass mashed down beneath dancing feet. Their hands slowly released, causing them to tumble and fall backwards on to the grass. Ayana closed her eyes briefly, taking a deep breath of fresh air. Her blonde tresses in a mass against the grass. She smiled and lifted her daze gaze up to look over at her friend. Sarah Maron laughed out loud and sat up, shaking her head, " That was so much fun! Let's do it again, Ayana! ", She exclaimed with excitement in her beautiful brown eyes. Her hands quickly coming through her brunette hair to fix it. Ayana forced herself up, brushing the grass from her light pink dress. Her small mouth opening to respond, the gentle voice of her mother stopped her. " Ayana! Come on now dear, it's time to come inside! Lunch is ready. ", Her mother's gentle voice called out in urgency. Ayana smiled and grabbed Sarah's hand, " Let's go! Mom made grilled cheese sandwich's for lunch! ", She said excitedly and tugged her best friend along with her. Her 8 year old best friend Sarah, stumbling behind to catch up with her. Ayana raced up the small hill and in to the open back door to her medium four room house. The bright blue colors of paint, even lighter in the sun. The two girls grabbed a seat at the circular oak wood table. Awaiting Ayana's mother to serve them lunch. Her mother didn't disappoint, she arrived just moments later to the table. Her over worked hands, setting down the grilled cheese sandwich in front of Ayana. Ayana made a noise of delight, before looking at Sarah, " Momma! Sarah is missing hers, can you please get her one? ", She said with a hint of disappointment and a frown. Her mother immediately turned on her heel to face her daughter, " Ayana...Honey...Sarah isn't here. ", She stated with a frown and a strange concern on her face. Ayana dropped her triangle slice of grilled cheese and pointed to Sarah, " Momma, she's right there! Can't you see her? ", She questioned as she began to get a little upset. Her mother looked to the seat across from her daughter. Her lips turning down in to a deeper frown as she crossed the room, to reach her daughter, " Sweetheart, no one is there. Sarah...Sarah passed away a year ago. Don't you remember? She was very sick, honey. ", Her mother said softly and patted her daughter's hand. Ayana shook her head sternly and looked over to Sarah. Though Sarah was no longer sitting there, it was thin air and a ghost like breeze. Her hazel eyes widened and panic settled in, " B-but she was just here! Momma I saw her! She can't be gone! ", She cried out in frustration and tears threatening to fall. Her mother held her to her chest, trying to console her daughter as best as she can. A the whole, the confusion on her face was as bright as day. She couldn't understand what her daughter was talking about. Sarah had passed away from cancer a year ago. How could her daughter see her? It was impossible. She glanced at the back door, her thoughts jumbled as she tried to reassure herself that her daughter's imagination was playing with her mind. She let out a sigh and continued to try to console her daughter. Her free hand slipped out the iPhone from her pocket, her eyes drifting over to look at the numbers on the screen. This was the fourth time in a month, that this kind of incident had taken place. She would have to get advise from a professional.
