I know I know I have another story out but this one I like cause it has a special meaning to me. I hope you ppl like it! Enjoy! ::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Eleven years ago ~~>~~>~~>~~> "Hello sweetheart! How are you?" "Daddy! I'm fine! Was work okay?" "Yes baby it was fantastic!" "Did you see mommy," the little girl whispered scared to ask. "No baby. I don't think she's coming back." "Why not," she asked disappointed that her mother would just leave and never come back. "Because baby," the man said getting on one knee so he could look his eight year old daughter in the face" She thought she fell in love but didn't get what she expected. Can you promise me one thing?" "Anything daddy," the girl replied happy to do anything for her dad to cheer him up. "Promise me you will never fall in love so that you won't be hurt okay?" "I promise daddy. I promise I won't ever fall in love. Besides if I did who would look after you and how would I be able to see you?" "I don't know baby," he smiled giving her a hug and standing back up. She had just made a promise that he will never let her forget. Back to today ~~>~~>~~>~~>~~> "Rapunzel Rapunzel let down your hair!" "Stop that Mike! You know the way up this tower and my name is not Rapunzel it's Chloe," I said throwing a shoe down at the servant who also happened to be my secret best friend. "Ow! Fine! Is your dad home," he asked climbing up the wall of vines along side the four story house. He would go through the door but my father wouldn't unlock the door for any man other than himself. "No not yet. In about ten minutes he should though!" "Aww! I was hoping to get a decent conversation in today," Mike said climbing through the open window. "Why is that," I asked while taking the groceries and shoe out of his hand and putting them away. "Because I met someone." "A girl," I asked becoming suddenly interested. "Yes. She is absolutely amazing! She is a servant you know! Maybe I could pull a few strings and get her sent here for a job so you could meet her and hopefully approve!" "Yes I guess so it's the least I could do anyway. You better hurry and leave before he gets home or he is going to give the whole falling in love speech again! Hurry! Shoe," I said and almost pushed him out the window. "Bye," I called as he climbed back down. As he left my father came looking very unhappy. As he unlocked the door and locked it back, I ran down all the stairs and pulled him in a hug. "Daddy what is wrong?" "Someone sent me a letter wanting approval of your hand and I very quickly denied it but they don't seem to be giving up so easy." "Daddy maybe..." "You promised you would never fall in love Chloe! That's that now be gone with you!" "So that means I can't go to the school or visit the village? Or have any friends or a life?" "Yes. You could easily fall in love sweetheart. You promised." "I didn't know this is what I signed up for." "Well neither did I but I won't let one single man get near my precious daughter!" "I understand daddy," I sighed. This is always how me having a life conversations ended. Me giving up was always the answer and what seemed to keep him happy and that's all I wanted. "Maybe I'll let you go to the village tomorrow. Only with someone trustworthy though. A girl I mean." "Why can't Mike come with me? Please dad! He is wanting me to meet this girl! I want to see her! He met her earlier today and I think he may be in love by the way I heard the excitement in his voice!" "Well... Okay but only because he already has a girl in his sights and it's not you." "Thank you daddy," I screamed excitedly and kissed him on the forehead. I ran back upstairs picking an outfit for tomorrow that would let me be unrecognizable. I picked a light blue dress with a hood. It had holes in it and tears but that made it an even better disguise. I would carry a basket and some money so I could bring back some things. I cooked supper hurriedly and ate and called my father. "Dad! I am already done eating and have your plate ready! I'm going to bed!" He came upstairs and kissed me goodnight. I walked to my room and shut the door, locking it behind me. I put on my old, weathered, brown cloak and walked to the window. I jumped out and slowly descended to the ground. I swung my brown hair onto the vines beside the window and let my hair swing me over. I know I know it sounds like Rapunzel. Why do you think Mike called me that? My father never let me out so I never cut my hair. I sighed and climbed down the vines. This wasn't the first time I left my house. ~~>~~>~~>~~>~~>~~> I hope y'all liked it and no it isn't going to be like Rapunzel or some sappy love story! It is based on the promise! Just wanted y'all to know that and that you will just have to keep reading to see how it unfolds! Hope y'all liked it!
