This Fanfic is based on my character, and some others, in Otto's story. I'm trying to make some of the characters more 3D than they already are. It was a cold rainy night. A young boy of at least 15 sat alone, looking out the window. Samuel Portman was his name. He was a quite average young man, with a very average life. His parents both married very young and later divorced. He lived alone with his mother. This late night, he decided to go outside, although rainy, he was curios as to if he could still see the moon shining. He quietly crept downstairs and exited through the front. He sat down in a dry log that had been covered by a tree. No moon. "*sigh* Might as well go back..." As he was walking he noticed a stick, picked it up, and began to swing it around. " Or I could practice..." The young Samuel always dreamed of being a grand swordsman. He swung the stick around violently and randomly, but stopped when he heard a noise in the bushes. "WHO'S THERE!! I'm warning you! I have a stick!" Samuel, despite all natural instincts, decided to investigate...
He tiptoed his way to the bush. The cold nervous beads of sweat rolled down his face as he extended his arm towards the bush. And in a swift motion, he struck at the bush with the stick! "F*CKING DIE, MONSTER!! AAHHH!! DIE! DIE! DIE!" When he had finally calmed down, he noticed that it was simply a cat. The cat simply lay there, twitching like an electrocuted epileptic. The young man simply walked away saying, "Nobody saw that right?" As he turned toward his house, a shadowy figure, much resembling himself, was seen obstructing the front door. "Wh, wh, what are you?" "That was pathetic" said the shadowy figure, " how can you be scared so simply?" "Wait, you saw that?" "I see everything you do, don't you know who I am?" Samuel took two steps back, opened his mouth and said, " Are you gonna r@pe me?" "... No... I'm highly disappointed in you, boy. I'm you, and you're me. I'm surprised you didn't notice the similarities." "How about you shut up before I beat you with this stick." "I'd like to see you try" The boy quickly lunged at the shadowy figure only to have him disappear and reappear in back of him and drive his claws, which had formed out of the darkness, into his body. "Lights out, kid" Samuel slowly fell to the ground as the shadowy figure dug his claws deeper into him.
MOAR!: "AAAGHHH!!" yelled Samuel as he jumped from his bed. Having noticed he was in his bed, he quickly looked over his body for any blood or scars. Nothing. "SAMUEL!! SHUT UP!! GET OVER HERE!! YOUR FRIEND IS WAITING!!" it was his mother, going on in another tantrum. "Calm down, sheesh... Hey Lizzy" Lizzy was a friend from school, they always walked together to and from school. She was a pretty little brunette, she was rather short in comparison to Samuel. "Let's go! We're late for school!" "Yes, master" said Samuel, sarcastically. The two walked to school and all was quiet until Samuel noticed the shadowy figure from last night. He was frozen stiff with fear. "What's wrong Sam?" she said with a confused look on her face. He didn't say a thing. The dark figure suddenly grabbed Lizzy from behind and dragged her to the shadows. Samuel, suddenly realizing that the dark figure had disappeared along with Lizzy, he rushed towards were he instinctively knew where they'd be. The old abandoned school. When Samuel finally arrived at the school, he was greeted by the dark figure. "Why, hello there... Sam. So glad you could join us" the figure smirked at him. "WHERE IS SHE!!" he yelled. "She's right there..." he smiled as he pointed at the bleeding young girl, "poor thing was no fun, she kept struggling. How sad, I wanted to have some fun with her before she died" "...no... She can't be... I'LL KILL YOU!!" "HAHAHAHA!!! Really? You? Remember what happened last night? You can't do anything!" "...shut up..." "Beg pardons" "I SAID SHUT UP!!" as he said this, a pure black aura surrounded Samuel, "I'LL MAKE YOU SUFFER!!" "Wonderful! You finally seem like a suitable host for me!" "DIE" the aura that had once enveloped Samuel had now streched toward the figure and engulfed him. As it consumed the figure, the darkness surrounding Samuel grew stronger. After the fight, Samuel rushed towards Lizzy. "Lizzy! Are you okay! Answer me!" "... Sammy?... Is that you..." she said quietly. "Oh my God, Lizbeth, I thought you were... " "... Hahaha..." she laughed wearily, "I never heard you call me by my first name before... Sam, I'm tired..." "Please, Lizbeth! Don't die!" "... Sam... please... I'm trying to sleep..." "DON'T!! STAY AWAKE! STAY ALIVE!!" "Goodnight... Sam..." she slowly closed her eyes, and stopped breathing. Samuel just looked at her and began to cry at the loss of his friend. "Wow, that was quite a show, bravo, kid! Sam was it?" said another dark figure. Samuel quickly rose up, and confronted the figure. " Whoever you are, if you're here to laugh at me, you better not like to be alive" the dark aura surrounded him once more. " Wow, darkness magic, I'm impressed. And instinctually, too! Quite impressive." "Who are you?" "How rude of me! My name is Apocalypse, but call me Apoc for short. Glad to meet you"
Fletcher: I may or may not, depends entirely as to how Otto's story further develops. As of yet, only Otto and Apoc will show up.
You all gotta wait! "Apoc?" "Yes. Now let's see here. *whistle* She's dead alright" "NO!! She's... just sleeping" "Nope, she's dead alright" he kicks her. "STOP IT" "Just face it, she's dead." he kicks her again. "I SAID STOP!!" Samuel quickly strike at Apoc, but is stopped mid-punch. "You may be strong magically, but physically, you leave much to be desired" Samuel, enraged attacks Apoc with his new found skill, but the attack is countered by Apoc's own magic. "Listen, Sam, you can't win. Now, I'm not a mean guy, come with me, I'll make you stronger." "NO!! DIE!!" Samuel releases even greater power, engulfing the entire building in absolute darkness. The darkness then slowly fades away with the light of the sun. The building is completely collapsed and all the greenery surrounding it has died out and turned a charcoal black. Apoc whistled. "Wow kid, you have enough power to do this! And the pretty little girl of yours is untouched, too! Oh, well my turn right?" As he said these words, the sun faded out, the trees began to die and disappear into nothingness, in fact, there wasn't anything at all! "See this? This is true power!" "Where am I?!" "You're inside the hearts of man. The little spot that lurks within every man's self. The little thing you can't hide from. Here, this is my domain! This is where I rule as a GOD!!" "You're insane..." "Me, insane? You're the one in love with a dead girl!" He laughed. "Take that back!" he charged at Apoc, but upon doing so, his leg had broken, "WHAT THE HELL!! AAGGHH!!" "Tsk, tsk, Sam. What did I just tell you? Now c'mon, follow me." Upon saying this, the darkness was gone and Samuel's leg had been repaired. They were somewhere else now. A dark, cold, desolate, place. There were three thrones in there, the one in the middle being considerably large than the ones on the sides. Apoc pointed to one of the people sitting on the thrones. The man he pointed to was of incredibly huge height and physical strength. "You! You want to keep your place? Fight this child." The giant said nothing, but simply picked up an axe the size of an average full-grown man. "Here, kid, take this. It's yours." said Apoc handing Samuel a long rapier. "It'll grow stronger as your power does. Now then..." Apoc slowly walked to his throne, clapped his hands together and yelled " FIGHT!!"
