The New Kid

  1. Well yoho! This is my first thread on Fan Fic, so feedback would be helpful!:) I'm going to tell a story from a boys perspective, since most do it from a girls perspective.

Names Gregory Mintz and this is my story. I was a small town boy from California moving to the largest city in North Dakota.

My family and I were moving there, since my father was sent there to start on a project. The project was to channel the Red River's water away from the city, since it'd rise to very high points once in a while.

To be honest, I didn't want to move at all-like most teens. Moving meant I'd leave friends, family, my home that I'd live in since forever. I enjoyed living in Pacific Grove, California the view was beautiful, clean air, and every year thousands of monarch butterflies would come here from October to March. Knowing that I would be leaving my small town behind hurt me, also including my twin sister and our little brother.

The day we left Pacific Grove, I said goodbye to all my loved ones and wept myself to sleep on the plane ride. I cried knowing I won't be returning until after the project was finally built. Also, how I left everything I loved behind. My siblings were upset as well, although my sister Daphne didn't cry, I knew deep down she was dying in the inside.

As the plane ride was over we landed in our new home; Fargo, North Dakota. The plane ride wasn't much, it plainly was boring. As we put in all our luggage in the trunk of a cab -father called for one after the plane ride was over- our father said, "Kids welcome to new a beginning." I thought to myself "Oh great..a new beginning. Then after those words my father said everything was silent and we made our way to our new house.

  3. As we were arriving, I saw a big white house. It was wickedly awesome. We pulled up, my dad paid the cabbie, we took our luggage out and made our way into our new home.

When I stepped into the house, I was flabbergasted. It was a two-story house!

Our father then said, " Take a look around kids, find the room with your names on the door. Hope you'll like them." So like the kiddos we were, we ran upstairs and went searching for our rooms.

My room was on the far left. My name was actually carved into the door, which I thought was rad. Stepping into the room, my mouth dropped open. I saw a huge Green Day poster on the wall. It had the signatures of all the members of the band! I was ecstatic! There was a nice fluffy bed, a big tv with a PS3 connected next to it. I was in heaven. The closet was an ok size for me being a boy, some nice kicks, and a Windows computer. I was in heaven.

My siblings had a room similar to mines, except my little brother who he didn't have a computer or a big bed. Sucker.
