-----5 years ago----- "Lets have some fun! Come on!" Macey yelled to me. "I'm scared!" "We'll be right next to you!" I sigh. Typical Macey. We've been friends so long, our grandparents knew each other. She offered to go rock climbing, and take me. We were at an indoor facility, and it was crowded. "Okaaay. Fine. Only once though!" As I clip into the rope, a guy starts to tie into a gri-gri (google it). I plan out my climb, step by step. I'm ready. I yell: "On belay?" "Belay on." "Climbing?" "Climb on!" (go ahead and google that too. I'm a rock climber, so I'm gonna use some lingo non rock climbers might not get) I start up the wall, when I feel like I need a break. Im a little over halfway up, and there is a high step coming up, I might have to take. So I will. I yell "Taaaake" And sit on the rope. I feel no support, and desperately try to grab the wall. Nothing works. I fall all the way to the bottom. ----------------- I need feedback to cont!! /
Next thing I knew, I was on a strecher. I try to sit up. Macey is hysterical next to me, and repeatedly is saying "your ok. Your ok. Your ok" I can't figure out what the big fuss is. I try to move, but I can't. Suddenly my legs and spine are filled with pain. I'm lifted into an ambulance, and I try to speak. I overhear a paramedic say that my left leg is shattered, and my tailbone is in critical condition. I also hear that I may never recover. I'm scared.
