Tech Question.. USB Drive related

  1. I'm hoping someone here can help me. So like a year or so ago, in an attempt to free up space on my phone for vacations and stuff, I transferred all my pictures and videos onto a 64gb USB flash drive. Both MP4 and JPG files. I even used the flash drive a few times and saw them still there.

Today, I found that flash drive, and upon opening it, I see 3,400 files are still there, BUT THEY'RE ALL JPG.

There are ZERO videos in there whatsoever. There are JPG files for the thumbmails of the videos, but only jpg. If I click on em, I can't see any video.

    HOW CAN I FIX THIS

  2. You need a recovery tool
    There's plenty online
Maybe youtube one that's easy to use

  3. You can try converting each file back to it's original with an online converting tool or using software like AfterEffects. Although that might take forever so just Convert the ones you care about

  4. Try opening it in linux , there are chances you can see ur files there , or else "usb recovery tool is there " because data never gets deleted only pointers are deleted so no need to worry u will get ur data back .. Untill and unless u didn't replace anything .
