If your owner has their account linked, they can login using another device and pass owner over. I had to do the same thing when my battery blew. Otherwise, maybe have the owner email support@athinkingape.com with their username and what happened. Support may be able to do something. I had a friend with a similar issue happen and I can't remember what support did for them as it was a couple years ago. However, my guess you'll just need to take Julie up on her offer to open a new club for you all. Best of luck, leaving open should anyone have first hand experience and advice.
Broke my phone 2 weeks ago without having linked my account. If the owner emails support they will email a list of questions to verfiy the entry. Once answerred they will link the account to the email used and the owner can log in again
