Stupid Questions Do you believe in stupid questions? Throughout my life I've heard different people say different things. Some people say, "Don't ask stupid questions," while others say, "There's no such thing as a stupid question." What do you think? Is there such a thing as a stupid question? Why? Or Why not? If there is, what would you define as a stupid question? How do you determine wether or not its dumb? ️↝❥мͥɑgͣsͫ✾↜️
Nice thread mags! Eh I believe some questions are just profoundly stupid. Like when people are sitting right next to you and ask you what you're doing. But if you're genuinely ignorant about something then there are no stupid questions. If that makes sense.
Ricecakes and Vampire, are you trying to illustrate what you think are stupid questions? If you are, please elaborate on why you think those fall under that category.

Eh I think Cherry's example of a stupid question is more or less someone trying to start a convo. Is questions stupid if you can clearly look up the answer in a few seconds? Not sure what ppl think on that. If you truly don't understand something maybe you may need it explained in a better way. Some questions yes may have an obvious answer. I think it depends on the question asked...
I guess I can see that Faye, but I don't think thats too good of a conversation starter. And about the being able to look it up point, would you weigh in whether or not they have the means to look it up in the determination of the question's merit? Or wether or not the one being asked knows the answer? because it is sometimes easier to just ask instead of looking it up yourself.
I don't even think asking a question that you already know the answer too is necessarily stupid. Like if someone cheated on you and you know they did and you ask them if they did to see if they'll lie to you. I don't think it's stupid because it's trying to find out information...
