story challenge

Discussion in 'Fan Fiction' started by easyam, Mar 2, 2011.

  1. Setting: the world has become infested with zombies. You are a college student who refuses to believe in zombies. Write a story!

    Sample:

Easyam looked at the pale girl slowly inching her way across the playground. Easyam was sitting at the picnic table eating some tuna fish and drinking some 5 hour energies. He looked up at her, she looked like she was totally out of it. " hey.... Hey you!" she continued to inch toward him. About 10 minutes later I had finished eating and put everything away. I looked up again... She just got a little bit closer. "hey girl what's up you trying to mess with me?" she took another step closer. I decided she was either drunk or on drugs and went to home avoiding all the other wasted people... Must have been a crazy party.

Feel free to add your own zombie stories where people refuse to accept that people have become zombies!

  2. Okay I'll write one:)

Students were writing notes, some were dozing off, and the air was carrying a monotonous voice. "And geneticists say that the human brain is..." the professor was droning on and on. Naomisoxy looked at her phone, it was only 20 minutes into the lecture and her eyes were threatening to close.
All of a sudden, a hand shot up in the air. "Sir, what would you say to the possibility of zombies?" Some in the class giggled, others rolled their eyes in disgust at the question, and a young man in the corner of the lecture hall pulled his cap lower over his eyes and leaned on his girlfriend's shoulder in an attempt to fall asleep.
'What a dumb question. Who actually believes in zombies like seriously?" Naomisoxy thought aloud and realised what she had done only when she noticed all eyes on her.
"What? It's true is'nt it? As if zombies are real! I'm getting out of this crappy lecture." she stood up and slung her bag pack over her shoulder, covering her head with her hoodie as she stomped out of class.
All of a sudden she heard her heartbeat getting louder and louder, as voices started to come into focus. A sudden pain shot up her arm.
"Keep your eyes open Naomi! Stay with me!" she felt a tap on her cheek. "That's right look at me. Look at me." Her eyes came into focus and she was staring straight into a pair of brown eyes. "Chester?" she cried out. "I'm here. " the voice replied. "What's going on? My arm hurts. I can't feel it. W-what's going on?" she was breathing heavily. "You just got shot, by accident. At least you're still clean, no bites. " Chester smiled. "You passed out and we brought you here."

Naomisoxy nodded as she pushed herself to get up. "Whoa! Take it easy Naomi." Chester warned as he helped her up.
"I had the weirdest dream Chester."
    "What was it?"
"I was in a lecture hall and they were talking about zombies. This boy started the topic. I didn't believe them. I told them zombies were not real. Who would not believe zombies are not real? That's pure ignorance and insanity!"
    Chester was silent.
"That wasn't a dream Naomi. It's your memory. Something you're beginning to regain. We've been fighting this war for close to 2 years. The things that have happened have caused you to forget many things of the past. I was that boy in the lecture hall." he sighed. " Who would have thought we'd be here today huh?"
He turned to Naomisoxy. She had a confused look on her face. She had lost some of her memories in an accident awhile back.
"Hmm. Forget what I said." Chester led her to the window. "We are here now, and that's what matters."

All of a sudden, a loud bang was heard in the room next door. Both Naomisoxy and Chester flipped their gaze to the door that separated their room and the next one. It started shaking and a loud cry was ringing through the air. Instinct kicked in, and Naomisoxy reached down to finger the pair of desert eagles planted at her hips.
With a quick swipe she flipped out her weapons. She didn't care if her dream was really a memory. All she knew was that now she believed in zombies. They were a part of this war and in enemy's camp. She has been fighting them for years now, and she wasn't ready to be on the losing end o the stick just yet.

The bullet shot through the termite infested door quickly and planted straight in the forehead of the infected. Her gun was smoking, and they both knew that this battle was not about to end soon.
