As medium sized stat player, I’ve found at times it is extremely difficult to get on the top 10 leaderboard with all the big stat players that are 200mcs+. It would be very beneficial to the smaller players to make 2-3 separate leaderboards based on different ranges of stats. Witch Arcana has implemented this to make their leaderboards fair for smaller stats. I’m surprised PIMD hasn’t followed their lead after years of people complaining about how unfair the competition is, it basically caters mostly to the higher stats that are able to keep it or take it without any problem. People will say just to keep hitting/spamming the players who have the spotlight, but the problem is, if u spam certain players, they will start farming you just for spamming them even though that’s the whole point of the competition. That’s the only way for smaller players to steal the spotlight, but they can’t do that if they’re being threatened every time they try to place on the leaderboard. Farming is apart of the game as well, but for these competitions it is important to include ALL stat ranges and make it enjoyable for ALL players. It is not enjoyable when the same 3-4 people are so strong they completely block off any chance of any player obtaining the spotlight every round. I’ve sent in a few tickets saying the same thing and always get an automated response. I would like to hear what the devs have to say on this topic.
100% support, hit brackets and pvp in general need some attention, but at the very least separating spotlight leaderboards by stats will help get newer accounts using this game feature and a general understanding of it. Hell make the reward higher for the higher stat brackets even, if thats the incentive ATA wants to put for people to keep growing their accounts, but more features of this game need to be made accessible to the majority of players
Support. How tf is a 100kcs player ment to hit a 500mcs player to get spotlight? Even 50mcs vs 100mcs is a MASSIVE difference in terms of misc stats the players have. I did literally 1 hit when it 1st came out then stopped coz of how pointless it is
I like the idea but I believe it's not feasible because of the alt situation. If they ever do that, won't the big players just go to their alt and hoard the leaderboard
That definitely could be a possibility, but it would still give players a better chance of being able to participate in the competition. At the moment, the spotlight is not attainable for many players, which discourages them from even trying to compete.
Alts typically dont keep furni/misc/high stat avis/tutors the way people's mains do so a low account main could probably still out pvp a low account alt. If someone wants to play their alt like its a main and spend their cash/bentos on those things then I think they deserve as much of a shot on the spotlight LB as anyone else 🙂↕️
Hehehe I mean, we've both seen each other quite a lot on our notifications cause of the spotlight 🌚 I'm currently just a few crowns away from 2000 crowns and I've got the majority of them when i was 100mcs or les Although is definitely possible for ANY player to participate with the current way spotlight works, I also have the same feeling about separating into different tiers. Most PIMD players won't ever try participating for those exact reasons you've mentioned. Not the focus here, but my biggest complain with The Spotlight is how insignificant the prizes you can buy with crowns are. It's an event 101% focused on PVP but the avis you can buy just have terrible stats (Although the 175 female avi will forever be one my favorite avis in the game).
Yea I agree, only 4 Avis to choose from and no special stat items available to purchase like the green and gold crowns. A new set of items for the crowns would be nice for sure. 👀
Pvp buckets definitely need some attn. Separate lbs with tiered rewards for different buckets would be nice to see.
Big Support. Especially since certain higher stats will watch for it to pop up and because of their stats, will consistently have the lb, which makes it unfair to others in the lower stats. I’m 41mcs, and can attempt hits, but none will land. Even with my miscs. Then you add the factor of it being a pvp game, and then it’s like, why even try.
