Space Army [Book 1]

Discussion in 'Fan Fiction' started by sup_, Nov 29, 2014.

  1. I just decided to have my own story. This is in a somewhat old fashion story but no castles and stuff. There are the commanders in the story that will be introduced later and then recruits and such. It will mostly get explained and I hope you catch onto it.

    Ryan's POV

New recruits were seated in a place and a man walked up to a stage facing the people. Some looked nervous while others look ready trying to make a good first impression. The man wore a blue and orange space suit with a helmet under his arm revealing brownish orangish hair and orange eyes. The man looked like he was around 18 or so. He went up to the microphone on the stage and said; "Welcome new recruits to the Space Army. I am Commander Ryan. Here at the Space Army we protect the Overworld and train. As you know we have had *Ahem* disagreements with the Water Army. But don't worry. It will be a while until you get put in battle. Made by our Commander Becky, when you exit there will be small chips. You will put them wherever you would like on your clothes. For instance your hat or headphones. If you won't it will always stay with you somehow. And also-" Ryan stopped when Sombody entered the room from the side of the stage. "Speaking of Commander Becky. This is her." A small girl about the age of 15 or so walked over. She wore greyish bluish jeans as well as a white shirt and headphones that changed color of her mood. Right now they were blue. She shyly walked over to Ryan. "Becky is the only sorcerer in the Overworld. Anyway, did you get the potion ingredients?" Becky took off her backpack and gave it to Ryan. "Why are these wet?" He asked.

"I-I might of fell into the river..." Becky said in a small voice looking down in shame. Her headphones swirling with blue and grey.

"We're you attacked?" Ryan said with worry.

"Yes- I mean no. I know. I should have been careful. It isn't as bad as before."

"Before?!?! BEFORE?!?! How many times had this happened?"

    "I-I"

Ryan could see her fighting back tears. He walked over and patted her back and handed her the backpack, sighing. "Go ahead to the infirmary to have the nurses heal any wounds." Becky walked off to the direction of the infirmary. "*Ahem* Like I was saying, the chips will give you knowledge about where everything is including your dorms. Commander Jason will help you in making weapons tomorrow." Ryan walked off the stage in direction of the infirmary and the recruits, shocked a bit after Becky's confession walked where they came from, taking the chips and putting them on clothes on their accessories while some just held them.

I hope I did good. Please don't hate and I will make more probably. I get writers block a lot so yea.

  2. Chapter 2
    Jason's POV

"Alright recruits. Come on don't be shy." Said a man. He wore a black shirt and jeans. He had dark brown hair and amber eyes. His name was Jason and he was a commander of the Space Army. He has a serious expression and announced. "Today, we will be making our swords and weapons. As you can see we have supplies in the chests behind you. You shod have learned how to make weapons with your chips."
"Why do we have to make our weapons? What if they break?" Asked a recruit. Jason eyed the recruit with the 'Don't complain' look. "Your last question awnsers the first. You have to know in case your sword breaks." Jason replied. Jason saw Sombody wearing a familiar greyish-bluish jeans and a white shirt. What gives out most is the headphones. "Ahh. Becky I see you came. Did you sword break?" Jason asked as he entered the room. The recruits turned to Becky. Jason saw her headphones turn red and he held back a laugh.
"Uhhh. Uhhh..." She stuttered. "Yea. While I was on my... Journey..." Jason's smile faded away when she said 'Journey' (Meaning when she fell into the river).
"Well. Now we have a extra helper. Go ahead and make your weapons. Go on!" Jason shooed.

    ~Timeskip, Becky's POV~

Becky stood near Jason hiding her anxiety hoping Jason would like her sword. She was a commander so they expected more. Mostly sicne she was a sorcerer. Becky couldn't help but shake a little. "Alright. Everyone has their weapons, we can go to the training parts now." Said Jason. "But let me see your swords. I want to see what you have done. Becky? Can you come here?" Becky got nervous her headphones still a shade of red and she slowly walked over and held out her sword. It was a ruby sword with a diamond tip and decorated with emerald bonds. "Good work Becky. It's nice." Said Jason while swinging it a few times, testing it. Becky sighed in relief and headed to the training parts her headphones turning green, her anxiety over. Atleast, for now.

  3. Chapter 3

    Becky's POV

Becky jumped back as a fireball whizzed past her face. She and other recruits were training as it was her part to train the new recruits. She was demonstrating how to do the parkour. "If you get hit or fail you will be teleported back to the beginning before that happens." She told recruits that were behind her. Becky held her breath. 'What if I fail? Will they laugh?' Becky worriedly thought. She ran and jumped to the next platform. She turned in mid-air defecting a fireball with her sword and landed safely on the playform. "Now do what I did." Becky ordered the recruits trying to hide the anxiety in her voice. Becky was more on the loner side. 'Lets get this over with.' She thought.

    Timeskip

Becky was walking along the river, picking herbs and ingredients for potions. Winter was coming so she didn't want to run out. It was better to store. Becky yelped as a Water Army Recruit wrapped one of their tentecal around her leg, pulling her into the water taking her by surprise. Becky pulled out her old emerald sword and cut it off. The recruit screamed in pain and Becky got a good look of what she was up against. There were a patrol of Water Recruits trying to capture her. They all had blue eyes and their own color hair. Their skin had a bluish tinge to it and regular clothes. Becky's breath was running short so she quickly cast a water-breaking spell. The patrol swarmed her. She kicked one of the recruits away from her and stabbed the other. One was choking her so she cut off his tentical. She swimmed up attemting to get away. When suddenly somthing pulled her deeper. She stood face-to-face to the Water Army king himself. He broke her sword and flung it away. The king rose his own sword to knock me out when voices came. "Becky? Becky?" She was confused. It didn't make sense. She was so deep down. The voices got louder and her vision faded away.

  4. Chapter 4
    Becky's POV

"Becky! BECKY!" Shouted a voice. Becky woke up with a start and accidntly hit Sombody in the face."Ow!" He shouted.

"Tyler?" Asked Becky? She finally woke up. "Is that you?"

"Yea and- OW!" The man that must be Commander Tyler. He had jeans and a green hoodie matching his green eyes. He also had brown hair and looked about 19 or so. Ty-Tyler for shirt was standing next to Becky's bed. He held his nose and that was where Becky hit him.

"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to!" Becky apologized.

"Ugh. It feels like you broke it. Anyway, you were yelling in your sleep." Ty said with a pained and confused expression.

"Sorry. I had a nightmare." Becky apologized.

"Really? Oh. That explains. Just next time don't hit my- Ow!" He said. "Well. I'm going to the infirmary to get my nose checked" He sort of spat out the last few words. Ty walked out of the room.

    Ty's POV

When Tyler went out of the room the other commanders waited for him. "What was it?" Ryan asked.

    "Just a nightmare." Ty stated.

Ryan sighed. "She has been having nightmares for the past few months. Somthing is obviously happening."

"Maybe it was about falling in the river." Jason guessed.

"Maybe... Maybe we should send people to secretly watch her in case if she gets attacked." Ty suggested.

    "Yea we should." Jason agreed.

"Alright. We will do that." Ryan announced.

"I'm going go the infirmary. That girl has one heck of reflexes." Ty said and walked out quickly so he Wouldent hear the other commanders laugh.

(I'm trying to add more detail of what the character is feeling so next chapter might be in a different style.)

  5. It's nice. Are you going to make more?

  6. Probably not. Nobody reads this.

  7. That's sad. I liked the theme.

  8. A lot of the time some of us read it but don't comment for a while to see how it develops. I have a bit of advice, write how much you want to write, whenever you want to write it and post it on here whenever you want. Write for your own enjoyment, so if you enjoy it, other people will.

  9. Chapter 5

    Becky's POV

Becky walked over to the parkour areas. Today was her day off so decided to do some obstacles. Becky was bothered by her recent dreams and made her scared of plenty of things. She just was good at hiding her emotions. But because of her mood headphones they could see her mood. Thank goodness only the commanders know! But one thing nobody knew is that without her headphones she would go a bit crazy. Thats why she always kept them on. Last time they were off she exploded one of the parkour stages. Luckily nobody knew it was her. She walked up to the first stage. Recruits stood there to watch and see what I would do. Becky looked at the first fireball stage. She jumped across a gap deflecting a fireball with her sword on the way what was now unsheathed. She sped through the fireball courses and started to do the ladder stage. Becky gripped on the ladder and ignored the stinging in her hands, still continuing. She looked back to see other recruits trying to follow her. One shouted at their friend that pushed her off. She giggled and continued on. Becky reached the end and looked at the teleportation device that would take her back. But instead Becky sat down and watched everyone because she was up high. What caught her eye was Sombody speeding through the course. After a while of watching the person finally came. He had hazel eyes, brown hair, jeans and a red shirt with the Space Army logo on it. "Hello, Commander Josh." Becky said to the man.
"Hello, Commander Becky. How are you?" He asked
    "I'm doing well."
"I heard you Accidently punched Tyler."
"Hah! I did. I didn't expect for me to do that."
"Well, reflexes do get the best of a lot of people." Commander Josh laughed. We both went to the teleporter and went back to the beginning.

    Timeskip, Ryans's POV

Ryan was guiding the recruits in the sparing arena. The recruits has this special force field and when they would have been dead it flashes red. He was just organizing the next group when a messenger ran over to me. Ryan turned to the messenger. "Yes?" Ryan asked.
"Sir! We got news!" The messenger said frantically. Some recruits turned to watch
"Well. What is it?" Asked Ryan.
"T-The Water Army is going to attack us!"

  10. Just a small reminder:

This story includes the following bits:

-Creature (A.K.A water spirits. They represent the water elements)
    -Futuristic RP
-Magic (Becky is a sorcerer, I just never said it?)
-Commanders are like super humans. They could run at great speeds and jumps high. You just never see that really.

  11. Chapter 6

    Ryan's POV

It was all so sudden. The other commanders except Becky were chatting and having a good time in the lounge when suddenly Ryan came and told us the Water Army is going to attack. The first thing on my mind was to attack back but I realized not even 3/4 of the army knew! Tyler ran off to take control of the speakers and alert everyone else while the other commanders got their weapons and walked to the entrance. "Are we missing someone?" I asked. They looked among themselves. "No. I don't think so... Atleast." They said. But I'm sure we forgot someone! I can't put my finger on it! His thoughts were interrupted by the too familiar noise...

They instantly attacked, shooting fireballs- wait fireballs? How could they shoot fireballs? Oh man! This is going to be harder then I expected. All the recruits flooded out and we opened the gates and charged out.

It was horrible! And I'm not being sarcastic! It was the most terrifying thing! That's even bad for a commander to say! I drew my ray guns and shot into the crowd of squids. 'Just keep shooting. Everything will be fine.' I thought to myself trying to convince myself I should more say. I put away my guns and drew my obsidian sword and sliced at squids. I turned and deflected a fireball, it shooting into the enemy army and blew some of them up. "Hah. Stupid." I said. A enemy ran and head-butted me to the ground. Both our weapons flew out of our hands. I punched the attacker in the face and it made this sort of demonic screech. Ryan took that time to confusedly look at it's face. The enemy was just a human but he was a squid hybrid. It shocked Ryan how the squids gained the knowledge to do that. I heard a ZAP and got up, turning to see Tyler handing me my ray guns. I ran out to fight when stopping to see a recruit bleeding on the ground. I picked her up and ran to the infirmary, still getting the same feeling we are missing someone.

After awhile of fighting I finally dared and ran to the king. All the other commanders came and we put our weapons together to form a huge ray gun. It was big but still wieldable. We shot it at the king sending a large beam and knew it would end the king's live once and for all. No more terror or misery. Our lives would be normal for once.

But suddenly someone appeared in front of the king and defected the blast.

    "B-Becky?"
