All my life I've lived in the small town of Lancaster South Carolina. With its population of just over 700. It's a small town. A country town. A one high school town. And nothing big ever happens here. I woke up to the sound of my alarm as usual. Six fifteen. Okay. Time to get up I thought as I pried myself out of my warm bed and walked to the bathroom. "What happened to you" "Shut up Chase!" I snapped at my little brother who ran off laughing Ugh twelve year olds. Lordy be. How do they survive without getting killed. I took my shower and blow dried my dark brown hair and pulled on my favorite pair of jeans and a t shirt looking through my closet for my old converse. Perfect I thought once I found them. I look at the clock 6:57 it read. Crap. I'm gonna be late. I grabbed my backpack and raced down the stairs and kissing my mom on the cheek and telling her goodbye. I hopped in my truck and took my morning route to my best friends house to drive to school together. "Took you long enough" Tucker chucked as he got in the passenger side of my truck "Shut up and be happy you have a ride. One day I'm not gonna show up. Then what will happen?" I teased "Haha. Your funny." He leaned over and hugged me and kissed me on the cheek like he does every morning. School went by long and boring. As usual. Gosh i just hate school. My life is already planned out for me! Why do I need to go? I mean. I make all a's and I have a lot of friends. But I just don't like school. It doesn't appeal to me. I'm going to work in my family's store after graduation and that's where I'm going to be for a while. Just one more year of school after this year. And I can't wait.
Commas. Friggin' commas. The protagonist sounds like an emotionless robot without thoughts or feelings, and that's just sad. You're off to a start, but I suggest major improvement on character developement and description.
