The select few that truly know me, know that I'm heavily tattooed. That being said, I've been in a few arguments with non-tattooed people. They say: I'm trouble, I'm no good, I'm a bad parent...and on, and on. To that I say: kiss my ass. I'm an awesome person, who never gets into trouble, my wife and kids think I'm the best and guess what? My job pays more than your cubicle, shirt and tie wearing job does. Listen up, if you have tattoos... Yes, they will be ugly when you are 80 years old. So will your 80 year old friends. It's not about the tattoo, it's about how you lived your life with them. If you did your best under whatever circumstances, you won! That's all that matters. Nuff said. I'm out.
You can do as you wish to your body, why does the appearance of someone need to be judge? They can be the most tat up guy or girl, and be the nicest person in the world, whilst there could be some one with out a single tat, and be the worst person alive. All tho tats are not my thing, nor do I want one, but a tat doesn't represent some one's personality.
There's such a stigma on people with tattoos , it's really sad that with as common as they are now people still judge others as bad people. I know plenty of horrible non tattooed people lol. I have one tattoo and it's pretty sizeable too, it's pretty and I love it! If good tattoos didn't cost so much I'd have many more. For me, I like getting to know the stories behind the tattoos. I'll often ask a person " oh wow that's a great tattoo! What's the story behind it? " sometimes they're showing remembrance of a lost loved one, showing love for a family member, pride in their country that they've fought for or even overcoming a personal issue etc... Tattoos are art, life stories at time's. Even the bad one's have some sort of story lol. So for me when I see tattoos I generally think that person takes pride in whatever that tattoo represented to them, enough to share it with the world using their body as a canvas. I know there's the exception of some tattoos that don't have "sweet stories " but they also served a meaning to that individual. I have to admit that face tattoos make me cringe a bit, mainly because I think about the pain.
I agree with this. Tho me wanting to be a person that works in a cubicle am limited to the creativeness I want for my own being thanks to those views of looking "unprofessional" for having tats and colored hair. Even just in nonprofessional jobs like working at a store it is wrong to have an unnatural hair color, some sort of tat, or even piercings. This being said, I love dying my hair, all unnatural colors and even natural, but not over the top where it's a rainbow. I want a tattoo and as stated of my cubicle in the future, will have to be one that is easily hideable. I do see a lot of this negative look in tats or someone's appearance from older generations much more so than younglings. ? I believe this should change bc yes appearance of a person can be important depending on the circumstance but it does not define their work capability or personality. I have a slight optimistic look on this that it may change in yrs to come....unless I'm being naive ?
If the tattoos are poor, I would probably say something. For ruining your body, but tattoos have nothing to do with being a good parent.
I love my tattoos , and I don't care what anyone else thinks they are my personal preference . They have meaning to me and that's all that matters . Does it affect my kids , no . But I agree with you ditch people do judge by them , I've only got 3 so far but they will be added to
i agree with one and all. i've got six relatively noticeable tattoos (two big ones) and my significant other's parents don't agree with it or our relationship because of them - i cannot fathom their mindset. they honestly believe that "i'm going to destroy the innocence of their little girl". what more can a tattoo destroy than what society already has? i'm really upset that society itself has portrayed people with tattoos as evil and violent, when as you all have said, aren't.
I'm at like 15 tattoos right now, working on making my half sleeve into a full sleeve... Can't wait till it's done so I can start on my other arm
I personally have none.. And don't have any intentions of getting any in the near future.. I think that's only because I'm not passionate enough about any one thing to have it permanently marked on my skin.. That said, I've seen some really clever and beautiful designs that have made me wonder.. To be honest, I love the look and simplicity of white ink tattoos, but again, wouldn't know what to get if I wanted one.. I think it's silly and sad that there's still so much discrimination surrounding tattoos.. It's a form of art and self expression, no longer associated strictly with bikers and inmates
I have quite a few tattoos but they are all hidden for the time being due to my choice of career. When I'm not at work ill happily show them and enjoy them. My body, my rules. Having tattoos is a statement of your individuality. Who gives two shits what others think.
