Marci and Joe walked carefully through the dark forest, looking for their father. With each step they took, Marci heard a strange man's breath in her ear. Joe felt spiders up his legs, they kept going. "Marci, lets go this way," Joe said, tugging on Marci's sleeve. She let him drag her, the man's breath getting louder and louder. They turned a corner, and a masked man jumped in front of them and stabbed Joe through the neck, his body falling to the ground, dripping blood. Marci screamed and ran as fast as she could. She turned corners and jumped stumps, trying her hardest to get away. She took a pause, thinking she had gotten away. When she bent over to breathe, the man took his knife and stuck it through Marci's spine. They say you can still hear a girl's screams when you go to that forest in northern Vermont.
