Tomorrow Scotland decides to stay In the uk or to become independent 97% of all Scottish people will vote I'm part of the 3% so what do you think???? sorry for short thread, I can't think straight at the moment, making too many fails
Scotland is "the richest country in the world right now" according to a popular tv news show (I don't know if I'm allowed to say the name or not on forums ?)
I personally wont be voting as my poll card had an incorrect name :? But i hope that Scotland goes independant because of the powers mainly. West minister only decides on the benifit of England. Finance, because currently scotland pays more tax per head than uk as a whole. We get less back also. Westminister decided their submarines were more important than us getting the oil beneth us, which is worth a shit load of cash, billions and billions ? Scotland has the potential to be great, we are currently only in the shadow of England. Whwn wecget our oil, we will be one of the richest countries in the world, a lot more jobs will be available also. Which is badly needed. There are tons more reasons why i want independance but i cba writing for hours
Independance aint cheap, but we will be able to do it. We are a strong country with the possibility to be one of the greats. 300 years in union and we are not "better together". So it's time for a change. England can sort their own shit out and stop milking off us. All the want us for is finance, not for our benifit ? k im done
Hopefully our neighbours will vote yes to independence and maybe Northern Ireland too can take steps to leaving the union and returning the Green White and Orange flag.
The first thing that will happen in an independant scotland will be capital flight as depositors pull their cash. This will make it more expensive for the new scotland to borrow (as they will be seen by the market as riskier), which will further increase the amount of capital flight. A vicious cycle. That combined with the 7-8% hit to gdp as all finance jobs migrate to RoUK means that the economy will be in tatters for years to come. Rest of the UK will survive, although funding trident after losing 8% of tax income wont be pretty
im a No voter... Have been since the issue of independence was first raised! Don't have much faith in the "promises" being made by the Yes campaigners and believe Great Britain will always be more stable together! That being said no matter what there will be a lot of people unhappy with the outcome of tomorrow's vote and so hopefully it will all remain civil
@barcode, I own property, I actually own 2, one in Scotland, one in England, but that's beside the point
I'm voting yes, scotland needs change and nows the time, according to predictions its real close 52 percent no, 48 percent yes
Become independent, Robert the Bruce, and brave heart didn't fight to free them from the British for nothing.
