Working a graveyard shift is.really tough. There r so many variables left 2.d imgination. So much so dat u never really know wat 2 expect. And dat goes even double 4 me since I work 4 such a small company n we only hold office at a sort of apartment complex. Located in a famous subdivision, u can actually count d number of graveyard shifters with 1 hand. My story begins 1 unassuming night in jan. Just a few weeks after holiday vacation. On my way 2 d office, around 11 in d evening, a txt message from an officemate arrives. Alex,I can't go. Today. I have a fever. Just say 2 d ppl n 2 sir bout it. Tnx! hmmm.... ok, I thought 2.myself.at dat moment, I was already inside a taxi so even if laziness struck me, it was not a reasonable option 2 go home. Besides another officemate of mine was going to accompany me tonight so no problem right? well, dat was wat I thought. I arrived at d office around 11:25 or so, 30min. Early. I usually arrive late becoz my house is quite near n I often underestimate d waiting time for taxis, which I now realize almost always takea quite a long time................ CONTINUE
