I shivered as the cold air hit my arms, pulling my jacket closer to myself. I finally reached my street. I quickly ran up the stairs to my apartment. Once inside, I locked the door and turned up the heat. Then I went to the kitchen and found the leftover lasagna. I put it in the oven. After making sure that I had it on the right temperature, I went and sat on the couch. As soon as I did, me eyes couldn't help but drift toward the photo on the coffee table. It was a lady with two girls by her side. The lady had dirty blond hair, and blue eyes. The girls both had blue eyes, but one had brunette hair. I reached up and touched my dark black hair and dark brown eyes. My mind went back to that night. Did I make the right choice? Was it worth it? Am I ever going to see them again? Closing my eyes, I took in a deep breath. Silently I got up and walked to my room, I went in the the bathroom and grabbed the lighter in the cabinet. I stood in front of the toilet and took the picture out of the picture frame. Holding the picture at the tips of my fingers. I lit the lighter and watch as the flames licked at the edge of the picture. I looked at the people one more time before the fire destroyed the picture. I dropped the ashes in the toilet and flushed them down. I starred at the toilet, until I started to smell something burning. I quickly jumped up and ran to the kitchen. Throwing open the oven door, I grabbed on some mitts and pulled the lasagna out. It was burned, but now that I thought about it, I wasn't really hungry anymore. Taking off my mitts, I went back in my bedroom, and laid down on my bed. I curled up in a ball, and the thoughts of that night came back in my head. Till finally I fell asleep, but this time Instead of dreaming of my life before this, I dreamed of nothing as if my mind had finally realized that I didn't want to relive that time.
