For Catholics and who ever else I'm not sure If Satan is supposed to be and evil ugly creature yet he used to be an angel aren't angels supposed to be beautiful? So why is Satan portrayed as ugly if he was a beautiful angel
In Paradise Lost by John Milton, Gustave Dore doesn't depict him as ugly. I own a few Dore repros, but not that one
I think it's scare tactics of sorts. Personify evil as ugly, they do same thing with witches. Green skin, big ugly wart, janky teeth. But then again, I hate to compare witches to the devil. In general, we only practice white magick, not black.
I think that the devil is beautiful. Absolutely sinfully beautiful. Like totally super sexy. You imagine your super sexy dream guy and that's him. But that was part of his downfall. But that's just what I think.
Well satan is supposed to be a fallen angel so i think that with him all his angelic features went too..this may sound more like a fantasy but seriously he built this whole new world empire utopia type thing he could probably change his image too but i agree with whoever said the art comment with the green withches
...okayyyyyyyyy on topic time!!! Yeah. What was said cannot be unsaid. That's got something to do with it.
Satan is a fallen angel cast by god into the deepest abyss of hell. Evil has MANY forms. Including human form.
The bible actual says Satan was one of the most beautiful of angels. If you do research into the way he is conveyed as with horns and a pitch fork and hooves and all that other stuff you will find many of those descriptions were taken from pagan and other religions and worked into Catholicism.
Where did you find this information involving the devil in Pagan religions? Because Pagans don't believe in the devil, in general.
