So, I work at a pet store. We use handheld radios (basically walkie talkies) to talk to eachother throughout the store, right? Well, on Sunday when we were having our 1:00-2:30 rush, we heard an employee on the radio playing around and making weird noises and saying "Hello hello hello" repeatedly. We were all confused about who was talking, so we met up and tried to figure out what the employee was trying to say. It turned out to be none of us using the radio. It was some kid who found the frequency we were on and was trying to talk to us through his toy radio. I could not stop laughing. The kid was talking to us for a good 10-20 mins.
Did you talk back? It would have made his day! I remember doing this as a kid with truckies, I'd get so excited when the signal was strong enough for them to talk back.
Our manager told us not to, but he did ask him how his day was going so far and they had a small convo until he got busy with customers, haha.
