So there was a mass shooting last night in Orlando at a nightclub called pulse. It's a gay club, but anyone is allowed in there. At about 2AM a gunman came in at lit the club with an array of bullets. Over 50 are dead and 50 more are at the hospital with serious injuries. According to police, this is the worst mass shooting in US history. The gunman was shot down by police, but not before claiming the lives of innocent people. Not sure if it is a homophobic man, or a terrorist. But prayers are needed and if you live in Orlando, please donate blood... They're running low on O- and O positive.
Absolutely insane. First and foremost, glad you weren't hurt. Per reports, this was an ideologically motivated terrorist attack. I won't confirm the religion of the shooter, as it only contributes to a negative view of a people group that doesn't get us anywhere. My opinion or anyone else's wont bring back the victims. Motivation for something like this doesn't matter. What matters are the 50 people who lost their lives because a sub-human did not value humanity. Who he is doesn't matter. What matters is the fact that hate is a real thing, and that justice is done. The shooter will continue experiencing justice for eternity. But the families of those who all got phone calls at 2am will also be the ones who have to suffer. Those who were there, heard the shots and saw people fall will carry that with them for life. We can use this as justification for hate, or we can stand next to those who are hurting. Let me urge everyone to not default to what is easy. Our anger is righteous and it's justified. But don't let it fuel more of the same feelings that caused this. Reach out to a loved one. Build a bridge.
My hands are shaking as I type this. The world is plagued with hateful individuals. The FBI is doing an investigation of the lone wolf gunman, and it seems this was an act of domestic terrorism. Once again strong nationalism/idealism/radicalism has taken a deadly turn, and the security of the world is left on edge. Horrible. My heart goes out to the victims and their loved ones.

Yes it is. There have been bombings, but never mass shootings by one person that have killed and injured over 100 people at once. Again there have been bombings and plane crashes, but never mass shootings like this.
I wasn't commenting on how many people died to make it the worst...but I said what I said. Again, R.I.P
